PAC was nowhere near of losing to JMM

I watched them again more recently and had one a draw and one for Marquez.

Opinions can change just re-watching them yourself, they were both extremely even fights.

Just because 3 judges score a fight one way doesn't make it correct, everyone will have their own opinion on a fight.

 

Both fights were extremely close so how you can say that he was no where near losing doesn't make any sense.

 

Erroneous score

Scoring the fight by five rounds to Pacquiao ought to have the brown colour dot on it too.

You could score the 3rd round of fight 2 10-9 to Pacquiao, IMO Marquez was winning most of it.

 

2nd fight was close, depending on how you scored fight 1 you could end up with a very wide Margin considering all the kd's in round 1

 

right. i don't remember how i scored the 1st rbr but i definitely didn't wind up with a wide margin at all. both fights were extremely close imo, so yes, Pac was very close to losing either fight.

well one judge scored it for Marquez, so I guess it can't be that wide. that's what a split decision is ya know

Nobody can deny that Manny has stepped it up since the second Marquez fight and done some pretty special things in the ring.

But the two Marquez fights weren't his finest hour.

I scored the first fight to Marquez by a couple of rounds (I scored the first round 10-7 to Pac rather than 10-6 but I think Marquez wins if you score it 10-6 anyway).

And the second fight was very close. I think a draw is the fairest outcome for that one.

 

people will usually show a one-sided perspective of the scorecards when their fighter wins by decision.

like that person who recently asked why people think Calzaghe-Hopkins was close.

 

I think the 2nd fight was one of Manny's finest hours. He boxed for 12 rounds, 36 minutes, with a master boxer and stylistic nightmare at the absolute peak of his powers and got the best of him. It's one of my favorite Pacquiao performances.
