I actually like the new BN look...

Anyway, I've only got the Ring a few times and never being impressed. It's going on its name alone atm.

Don't really get BM as well, sometimes flick through it when I see it in WHSmith , might have to start picking it up on a regular basis now :think

Steve Woods puts on so many shows and usually they are often quite big bills. If he isn't making money off of that what does he make his money in?

I have to be honest, I've never really been a fan!

My personal favourite out of the 3 is Boxing News. Mainly because it's weekly, and as a result is far more up to date than the others, with weekly news and reports. Not huge on the new style yet, but I'm sure it will come with time.

Right now I buy The Ring, like others have said, to maintain the collection. It's almost a habit now. I prefer their new style, but I get a bit fed up reading reports that are horrendously out of date.

I used to get Boxing Monthly here and there, and still do on rare occasions, for instance I bought the DeGale-Groves cover one for a week away just for reading material. However, the style is really jaded, and I'm not a big fan of it's content most of the time compared with the other 2.

Lovely, there is no better Thursday then strolling to the newsagents and picking up both Boxing Monthly and Boxing News.

The style of what in particular is really jaded?

As for Boxing News, I am a subscriber. Hardly any of the British stuff is at all relevant to me as I know almost all of it already but I don't use the forums for world news so it's good for me from that perspective.

I think Boxing Monthly is easily better than The Ring.... I've never read an issue of Boxing News so can't really comment.

I wouldn't say the style is jaded, I've been getting it for five years and whilst it's not changed much (if at all) I tend to follow the ''if it ain't broke.....'' principle.

What I like most about the mag is that there aren't any pointless two page spreads like you'll find in most mags.... there's a mishmash of one page articles, interviews, or blog type pieces from regular contributors, plus features from various writers.

I think ''feature writing'' is an art largely lost on boxing, it's more commonly seen in cricket publications...... so I'm glad that BM have it in.

Wouldn't buy it otherwise. I've seen the fights, I know the news, it's the reason I buy a monthly not a weekly.

I read the Victor Ortiz feature, man I felt sorry for him - what a rough childhood he had, even by boxing standards.

Well in my view the look of Boxing Monthly is quite old. I meant it looks jaded in appearance.
