Kell Brook vs Lovemore N'Dou - Thoughts?

    Haven't seen a single thread on this match-up, which is scheduled for the end of June. It's an interesting one, hence this thread for peoples thoughts on it.

    Some people are extremely high on Brooks, though British hopefuls which many people were high on have been dropping like flies lately. DeGale, Kevin Mitchell, so on and so forth.

    Brook has never been more then 6 rounds, N'Dou has gone the distance in every fight he's had in the past three years, 72 rounds. That's almost as many rounds as Brook has in total.

    N'Dou has been in with world class talent his entire career, and really hasn't been dominated very many times, almost all of his losses are pretty close.

    Brook has blasted out everyone he's faced in the past few years. Is he suffering from Lemieux/Kirkland syndrome? Chin and or stamina issues? Is he going to be taken into deep water by the teak tough N'Dou?

    N'dou is a 10 to 1 underdog, by the way. That's to win, period. The odds for a knockout are even higher. Those odds seem wildly inaccurate to me.

    The way I feel about brooks is he will get outboxed by a prime title contender/belt holder he seems to look for the single shot to much and before it ended michael jennings seemed to be coping pretty well with brooks.

    Jennings was totally outclassed and dominated by cotto not saying a beats b but when there's a huge gulf like that and it's an even older jennings kind of puts brooks level in perspective.

    Until we see his chin tested and an improvement in his boxing ability mainly finding the target much more often it's hard to say he will go on to bigger things.

    Haven't seen anything of Kell Brook, so I can only comment on N'dou.

    N'dou is probably a decent measure of whether Kell is ready to play with the big guys. N'dou seems to be of gatekeeper or even nowadays pre-gatekeeper status.

    Let's put it this way.... a promising fighter wouldn't want the stain of losing to the current version of N'dou on his resume. But it is a fight where they could potentially test themselves out, and learn a bit on the way. A decent fight for someone who is ready to start stepping up.

    Lovemore's 39 and past his best. But his losses have only been against name fighters, so he's worth a flutter at the 10:1 odds on offer.

    Brook should and will look impressive I believe. If he can stop him late it would be good for him considering Alvarez went 12rounds with him.

    This is actually a major step up for Brook, which tells you all you need to know about ******'s matchmaking. Kell has talent but has been fighting very irregularly over recent years against overmatched opposition. His new promoter is doing the right thing by pitting him against a solid contender, albeit an aging one, and finally having Kell fight in his home town of Sheffield He might struggle against N'Dou. As a poster above stated, Brook looks too much for single shots, and N'Dou has a proven chin. Could be a tough night.
