[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zngWGLCu8H8&feature=player_embedded[/ame] Diaz looks horrible. Most that work out at my gym that are in MMA look like **** when they put gloves on and spar. This guy wants to fight a boxer?
MMa guys will always lose to boxers in the ring, same way boxers only have a punchers chance in a mma fight. mma is gay though, I prefer k1 over mma, its brutal awesome but boxing > k1 though for me.
Well at least he is trying unlike keyboard warriors like Onepunchko and Lance "I went to a gym one day and it was so tiring and I never went back" UPPERCUT
He looks borderline ******ed. I'm sure boxers look similar when they cross over to MMA. He will get KO'd in devastating fashion as soon as he comes up against a club fighter or journyman.
I think this was their first session. He needs months of sparring before he even thinks of boxing a pro.
Against mma fighters Diaz's punching looks fluid, but against an actual boxer he looks like ****. This further proves to me that you can't just pick up boxing at a later age the way you can mma (Martinez being an exception) and be very successful.
Nick Diaz in this video Poor use of his height and reach advantage especially his jab(poor) his tendency to lean in is a tell that he is new at this or at the time of the video all he needed to do was move his head to the left/right or bend his knees with a straight posture as opposed to ducking bent forward head bobbling and saying hit me!!! His body shots at times were fine(except for the liver blow) as were his combinations(1-2) not that bad for an mma fighter. He needs to stop using the philly shell defense as its clearly all wrong as he reverted to the standard defense at times and it protected his chin more when he used that instead. His overall stance and movement was poor he obviously needs to spend more time skipping rope and learning to move as a boxer as opposed to a ground game mma fighter. side Note to armchair warriors sparring/boxing is a lot harder than you think especially when you are new at it. breathing for 3minutes with a gumshield takes some getting used to as does taking a punch even with headgear on if your neck muscles arent strong then you feel the force more. fainting dodging moving and picking punches is hard especially when you have to use body shots, punching to the body in combinations takes a lot out of you, so as **** as he may be credit is due for stepping through the ropes and sparring with an undefeated pro boxer.
I agree & I think so does Diaz, Last I heard he is no longer pursuing his turning pro as a boxer anymore. (Pushed it off for the time being)
Yeah he is use to being squared up in MMA and the head movement doesn't even exist in the video. **** he's probably saying to himself, "**** I have to remember not to kick this mother****er."
This guy supposedly has great boxing for a fighter in MMA, looks like **** against a real boxer. Of course the rumors of the fight were that he would take on someone like Lacy who's shot.
