For the loser of a fight to end up getting paid more than the winner.

I know the system is far from perfect, but say for example Mosley beat Mayweather and he beat Manny. He'd take home 6 million as winner vs Money and loser takes about 25 million home. Not much penalty for losing.

I think so many fights don't happen because of this. Winner should always take home more in my opinion regardless of who it is.

that makes alot of sense but also Fighters due to there skills, fanbase, record, style and name. Seem to have a price tag stamped on them, fighters that have have fill up arenas more recently are at there best time and have an attractive style and record seem to have a higher price and IMO should. at the ened of the day its not easy to have what i listed all at once. But now a days there too many hype jobs that blinds the casual fan with the record, I said plenty of times, juanma lopez isn't training for this fight he is going to get dropped on his ass for showing up on every rican show and rican fight i saw, everyone was expecting a easy Ko while i was detecting an upset. they didn't give salido a chance and laughed at his record, but when i saw when most of his losses occured and who he'd gone in to battle with i knew he had every ability to pull it off. so record plays a part in this but too many people get blinded by it. I think the fighter you brings the fanbase and who has the best resume, also current champ should have an edge into the purse, like i said they deserve it but with the winner sensefully deserving the bigger purse i think it works either way, at the end of the day fighters have a price tag on them before the fight.

Popularity will always be the deciding factor, but I think it works. If Mosley had beat Mayweather he'd be able to ask for way more in his next fight.

I think it's okay... I mean, it is always going to be like that. The purses of the following fight will likely be very different for both fighters. The one who didn't get paid as much but won will likely have a much higher payday because of it and vice versa.

Fighter A generates 1 mil PPV per fight
Fighter B generates 1 mil views per fight

Of course fighter A should get the lions share. He pulls in the most money.

arent there bonuses for the guys who win? Even if you are still fixed on the amount of money made win/lose, there has to be some kind of bonus for winning right?

I dont think so. Only if they agree to do so.
Mosley got 20% of Moras purse because Mora weighed over the agreed upon limit.
Marquez will get a healthybonus in a rematch WHEN:)yep) he beats Pacquiao.

If the fighter sees and agrees to the terms of the contract then there is nothing wrong with that.

In boxing you work your way up to a big pay day
