Has to be Lacy or Kessler.

Mate, the Lacy hype was insane before they fought, it was crazy on here for starters, Lacy was repeatedly promoted to a level of invincibility. Funny how things turned out though:yep

Lacy for me too because of the crazy pro-Lacy hype.

    Kessler for me.

Mainly because Kessler was troubling him greatly in the earlier rounds, both when they went toe to toe and also on the outside, tagging him with lead rights and also some murderous uppercuts that most fighters couldn't have taken.

When Calzaghe made the adjustment and stood his ground without pressing he dominated Kessler, who always remained competitive mind.

Lacy was a **** take, the stereotypical hypejob who was brutally exposed at the top level. His corner let him down that night, should have got him out of there in the mid rounds, he might have come back and achieved something.

    Instead he was completely done.

  9. How about just "Cocky American got what he deserved." No need to go after our whole country's throat over that one fight.

I seem to remember Mike Tyson steamrolling Frank Bruno more than once...

1.) The Lacy fight. turned Calzaghe's career around. Odds narrowed the closer it got to fight night, but for the vast majority pof the build-up Lacy was a prohibitive favourite.

2.) Hopkins. By far the best win on his CV, though it wasn't obvious at the time. Only problem is that though I scored the fight for Calzaghe, I still felt Hopkins was the better fighter and would probably have taken a return fight.

3.) Mitchell. Hugely entertaining and arguably a final reminder that Calzaghe once had heavy fans. Mitchell was also robbed vs Ottke, so it felt like a unification.

4.) Kessler. Big unification fight against a good champion.

5.) Woodhall. In some ways, a forgotten fighter - but he was a top-level player for a long time.
