Do any of you think Khan is afraid of him or have some doubt about him? I know Khan has done more than him since the knockout loss. I don't think fans would be upset with Khan for taking him on plus Khan can get that 60/40 split. I think he has something in the back of his mind that keeps him away from Prescott!
I think he would definitely take the fight, IF it was relelvant. Both careers went different directions, and Khan has undoubtedly gone on to accomplish more in the short time span compared to Prescott. Prescott has picked up two defeats since that KO win, two defeats via limited opposition, showing himself to be very limited himself. Khan has improved and progressed from the naive boxer in with Prescott. Prescott KO'd Khan in 1 round. You would think Prescott would be satisfied? I mean, if you KO someone in 1 round, you shouldn't really be calling him out? This shows the direction Prescott's career has taken. Prescott is still living off of Khan's name.
True. Would you take it as a stay busy fight and a way to avenge that loss if you were Khan? Is it too much of a risk with little reward?
its cause khan looses to prescott ant get`s the title shot.prescott wins and doesnt so,he proberly just feels khan has a belt i deserve a shot which i totaly agree.
I guess somewhere down the line, if Prescott can pick off some decent names at 140lbs (which is yet to be seen that he can do it)...the fight can become relevant again, or even a stay busy bout like you said. But Khan has bigger fish to fry IMO. The Judah bout is a bigger, better bout. The Bradley bout can still be made. At this point in time, Khan is on a different level to Prescott. Avenging a defeat is always great, but if after that defeat said boxer improves, takes on big challenges, beats better versions of the guy who defeated you....then it isn't the end of the world to not go over old ground.
This fight is very relevant. Khan should want to avenge his only defeat and finally shut the door on that brutal knock out that haters always bring up or is Khan actually scared? Make the fight.
Khan was lucky to pick up a title shot before Prescott. But Prescott threw his opportuniy away. He picked up a DQ win after the Khan fight, then against Vasquez (the winner would be in a great position to push towards a world title shot...Vasquez actually picked up the IBF title after this)...he lost and looked unbelievably ordinary. Then losing to Mitchell afterwards. He has done nothing since.
I honestly think Khan has some doubt about Prescott. Maybe he thinks the guy will come right after him and go for broke and he is afraid of getting caught with something. **** a loss to Prescott at this stage in his career would be horrible bc the way fans are. They would wrongly write him off.
See for me this is the fight he should take! If he beats Prescott his mental state will improve because he will never forget that loss. He will increase his fan base as people will think that he was cold or weight drained that night! This fight is High reward with low risk at 140lbs. I'm guessing that most would rather watch Khan vs Precott than Judah. Khan is Southpaw mad at the momment with McCloskey, Judah and the ghost i dont know why?
Do you think that the pathetic Scottish spoiler deserved more the shot at Khan. Did you watch the fight?
Yes I watched the fight, I don't see how that is relevant...only in hindsight. McCloskey won and defended the European title twice. He was and is more established at the weight than Prescott. So yes, he was more deserving (even though there were better options out there for Khan).
