if marquez is smart, he should come in at under 140.. when pac came in at 138 against hatton..he was clearly more faster and lighter on his feet.
and this thread was made 2 years ago. pac has done great things in the span of 2 years that most of the posts in this thread got owned!
doesn't change the fact that pac hasn't faced a game fighter in their 20's in a long time. look, i'm 34. little outta shape, but you try hangin' with people in their 20's. In your 30's you got stamina on your side. but when it comes to speed..its very hard to maintain that stamina advantage. fact of the matter is that pac's real and only true challenger is Floyd who is 34. Outside of that, only Ortiz and Bradley and they're only what..26? Time for Pac to fight prime fighters not 39 year old guys..
Berto is easy too hit as he showed against Collazo and Ortiz who are slower than Pac. Pac by stoppage.
But the 2lbs less than the limit catch weight with Cotto is what caused Cotto to lose the fight right? :nut
What do you expect? Pacquiao had already moved up a good number of weight classes, there is a limit for everyone...so he was not totally inaccurate about making that prediction (Pacquiao proving his greatness as he moved up and filled out makes it look like a horrible prediction, but only great fighters can make these type of predictions look that way) especially when the division was very hot at that point. Pacquiao hadn't shown that he could mix it with the top Welters (the Cotto bout being the first people felt Pacquiao was going to be in with a fully fledged Welter), added on to the fact that he was still very much a light weight at that time.
