agreed. To become a fighter at the elite level, you have to have some type of chin. It's not like his chin is on the level of a club fighter. However, when judging his chin on the ELITE level, it just isn't very good. I know he's shot, but the guy is getting KO'd every other fight nowadays. Holyfield is nearly 50 years old & hasn't been KO'd in years. Even in his beating against Toney, his corner had to stop it. Now thats a chin
And then when Tarver KTFOed Harding in the rematch, it was supposed to be Tarver-Jones, but Jones ran away to fight garbage men.. and Ruiz. I aint hearing those excuses for Roy. One of those Euro guys would have beat him too.. probably tall southpaw Collins. :deal
he fought tarver a year later after the second tarver-harding fight. i guess that's not quick enough for you. that, plus the fact that he made $10 mil vs ruiz. collins was a good fighter but offered nothing that would have beat jones at 168.
There was talk of him fighting Lennox Lewis after the Ruiz win. I guess everyone behind the scenes knew to never make that fight from Roy's perspective. Although he would have earned a huge payday.
RJJ didn't have a glass jaw, no fighter has as many fights as he did without getting seriously cracked many times. BUT - a fighter who's been knocked out gets more and more susceptible to it. His chin is totally cracked now and he needs to get the **** out of the game.
If Holyfield ever DOES get completely knocked the **** out, you will immediately see a serious decline in his ability to take shots.
yeah idiot, they were all too scared to punch Roy lol oh except for Montell, who wasn't scared, but then got scared in the rematch.
