Calzaghe has a questionable win against Hopkins, so he should of fought him again to show the whole world that he really beat him. That's always gonna against him too. How you win means just as much as a win.

So why fight ndou, augustus, brussels, corley, gatti, mitchell and judah? Corales and castillo were miles better than them (as were freitas, casamayor and tzyu incidentally)

When floyd retired and pac entered the division here were the rankings

    1. Margo
    2. Cotto
    3. Mosley
    4. Clottey.
    5. Pac

Pac has cleaned out the top 5, before retiring floyd fought none of them.

Well after seeing floyd handle castillo in the rematch I thought we had a truly special talent on our hands. Someone capable of breaking the top ten. He didn't come close to reaching that potential.

Why is pac such a worthy welterweight opponent, all he's done is feast on cotto level fighters?

The bold is lie concerning me. Wasting his prime years yet he is an atg. This thread was titled "Has there been a bigger waste of talent than Mayweather". Now can you honestly say he is the biggest waste of talent? Like I said earlier wasted talent is not using your talent at all. Judah is a waste of talent. Could have been an atg but wasn't. Same with Bowe imo. Also I didnt say Floyd didnt waste his prime years. I'm telling you he is not a waste of talent. Could have done more and being a waste of talent are 2 different things.

You guys should see it as a compliment of floyds skills when people think he wasted his talent eventhough he is a atg with some good accomplishments.

Great boxer who can handle all styles except the world class elite prime power fighters like those he avoided in Cotto, Pac and Tszyu. The few fighters in that upper upper crust of the sport that you are going to have to go to war with, much like Castillo but even more dangerous and historically higher in skills, experience and accomplishments. His resume is simply missing this and it will be the sole reason he will never be regarded in the top historically.

I just....I just dont understand why these ***** mental midgets cant make the connection in their brain.

As much as even Mayweathers biggest hater may not want to admit it, they say these things that Floyd "wasted his potental" because they saw in him something that you are lucky to see once in a generation.

It is almost the ultimate compliment in a way, but as it stands now, The Mayweather saga has become a total train wreck. The man has accomplished much, and had the ability to be mentioned in the same sentence with the Ray Robinsons and Alis and Durans etc etc but he simply didnt live up to it.

We might never again in our lifetimes see a talent like Mayweather again, and to watch as his ship is going down in flames now sucks. You have to be in total denial to say it isnt. I guarantee when they do those "Inside the Ropes" documentaries on him in the future, sure it will cover his accomplishments, but a major theme of it will be about what could have (and SHOULD HAVE) been.

lol. Mosley at 39 prime ?
    Oscar - prime ?

Castillo not on the level of a Pac or Cotto and he maybe the closes thing Floyd faced and yet he managed to land 170 + power shots on Floyd in his prime.
    think about it.
