great dude and a good fighter. he lost to aaron pryor jr at the beginning of may giving him his 4th loss. what do you guys think? does he have one or two big fights left or is it all over?
It's more like three fights now. He hasn't really looked good since Tsypko. Bute didn't let him look good, as he never allowed him to get going since he was in beast mode that night and just schooled/destroyed him. That might have ruined him. A beyond-shopworn Lucas pushed him in a war until his flesh started falling off. He legitimately deserved the loss to Pryor, who isn't bad on like an ESPN2 or ShoBox level so it isn't that huge a shame to lose to him - but Librado as a world-rated top contender is probably done based on the stretch of that last three going back over 2 years. I actually feel Enrique is the better overall fighter, and has more of a chance of getting back to a world title shot than his brother.
He looked pretty much the same as usual against Lucas. Lucas just tried to box and use his ring savvy until the pressure was too much. But that was over a year ago.
No. Sure "losing" to Pryor Jr. is a shame as Pryor is a complete *** and a complete bum, but no Andrade is not done because he "lost' to Pryor Jr. He still a top 10-15 level fighter still.
Guys, STFU with that crap please. 96-94 Pryor on my card and I love Andrade. He lost fair and square. Even a draw would have been a little generous to Librado.
Pryor Jr. should have been DQ'd. That performance he displayed made me **** my pants, and when the judges actually rewarded him the victory made me puke. You can't win a fight running, running, running, running, and when Andrade got close he held, held, held some more and turned his back and started crying. You shouldn't win a fight like that, I don't care how many punches he lands, that **** was pathetic.
I didn't like or appreciate his style, but did score the bout for him on the 10-point-must system...as did two of the judges. :conf The 4 rounds I gave LA (5-7 & 9) are really the only ones he could possibly get. He was getting pretty clearly shut out before he hurt Pryor in the 5th, landing nothing and getting jabbed. Sure, Pryor was negative and unpleasant pretty much all night. Andrade though, outside his 4 clear rounds, was made completely ineffective by that negativity and unable to cope with it and find a way to win anyway - as a really great fighter would. As shockingly crowd-unfriendly as Pryor's performance was, Andrade's lack of ability to punish him for it was pretty eye-opening as well. He just wasn't sharp at all and had no answers.
Love the Time Collector........ Maybe the Bute fights did it. As a fan Andrade won the first fight big time. Bute was aloud to hold him, pull the neck and punch him, hold his legs more than once.....!!! In the second Bute fight, Andrade never looked better. Good fast combination, and hit Bute much more for the first 4 rounds. Andrade this time would make max pressure from round 1 - 12. Andrade never feared the KO, and then ..................!! Listening to Andrade and he back then always talked about the chance of being champion. Now this dream is probably dead. Andrade is a warrior, and with out the dream, he is, sadly, just an ordinary fighter.....
