i hated him first, then i saw his fight against pascal, then taylor and his fights in the super six, and i love this fighter. he has it all, he is extremly akward, great chin, very high ring iq, great corner, very good punching power, heart, will and toughness. as a boxing fan you can't wish for more. he gives us always a great fight, and i'm backing him up for the rest of his carreer. i think he will beat glen johnson fairly easy and tko ward late and then go on for more great things WAR FROCH!!!!!!!!!!
The pascal fight was the best fight i'd seen in years, froch is a great fighter he loves a tear up and has great mental toughness, froch will get drawn into a war with johnson but will come out on top WAR FROCH
Froch's run of fights tell you everything you need to know about him as a character. Only Pacquaio has a current run of that sort of quality
Great thread. I agree with everything you say.. I never used to like him, i thought he was all talk. But then went on a great run..
Too true, i hated his whole persona when i first started to watch him. Now theres no doubting him, he fights the big names regularly and carries himself as a true champion. I think he will go on to win the super 6. WAR FROCH!!
can't wait for glen to kick his ass :yep hope glen can win , I consider putting some money on it :hey
I like Froch. He shouldn't have cried so many bitter tears after the Kessler defeat, but overall Forch is my favorite and most exciting British fighter right now.
Dirty fighter when is not winning. And a cry baby when he loses [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GUm8AHqiPKU[/ame]
I think he's a cracking fighter and a great personality, I enjoy his interviews almost as much as I enjoy his fights. A real warrior mentality, if everyone in boxing had the same mindset the sport would be a hell of a lot healthier than it is right now. I think he'll have a very very hard fight with the Road Warrior though, I genuinely can't call that one but I feel certain it is going to be Fight Of The Year (hence the avy).
He is a very nice run and his move to Matchroom is significant from an exposure angle, although a little late.Other than his whining about Kessler and dismissing his struggle against Dirrell,he is a tough fighter. PS-I can't stand that witch of a girlfriend of his but that's his biz.
Watch when Froch loses again. He'll start complaining, saying he was robbed, blaming the weather, bad mouthing the country ect. You can see the difference in character between Froch and Dirrell. Dirrell gets robbed, he credits Froch as a "warrior" and admits he made some mistakes. Froch loses to Kessler and says "never fight in Europe" LOL! Froch is a gentleman when he's winning. When he loses or has a bad performance, you see his true character
I think you're reaching a bit here. I agree that Dirrell clearly beat Froch, but there's no shame in taking a robbery and pretending it's a win because you got the official decision. Any boxer would do the same (your man Floyd did it with Castillo - :deal), it's just not done in boxing for the winner to admit the decision was wrong (whereas in MMA, this is done). And other than that, Froch's only loss was in an extremely close fight which I believe he lost but which I do believe that he believes he won, so he's within his rights to say so, no boxer should be a "good loser" if he doesn't even believe he lost. If Froch gets stopped by Johnson or dominated by Ward, I believe he'll take it like a man and a sportsman.
