Full credit for Khan-Judah unification but Amir's in a terrible style match-up

    Zab Judah is just about the worst opponent you can imagine for Amir Khan, slickness, speed and spectacular power is the kryptonite for straight line jabbing and suspect chin. Not very good risk/reward ratio either, winner becomes unified but not lineal, and as far as the boxing world is concerned, this is Khan's fight to lose as he's expected to walk away with the victory.

    Huge credit for Amir, where Bradley said he's afraid of losing - losing his chance to face Pacquiao - Khan takes on his style kryptonite in order to collect all the belts at 140. Timbo wasn't a pleasant style match either as many expected him to bring the fight on the inside where Khan has little to offer, but at least he doesn't pack a KO punch and Amir could match him with volume. With Zab however Khan can dominate all he wants, EVERY SINGLE TIME Zab is able to slip the jab he's moments away of getting knocked out with a perfectly placed counter he worked his ass off in camp for.

    So it's a tale of two fights, one is Khan working behind his busy combos off the jab for a dominating points or accumulation stoppage win, the other is Judah setting up traps all night and only has to connect solidly once. I expect Amir to open up a large points lead, but I do not see him playing with fire without consequences for too long. If Khan doesn't stop Judah in 4 rounds he's getting knocked out.

    I see this fight differently. Zab fades most of the time, and if Amir can get through the first half of the fight being conservative, he'll win by wide decision or late stoppage because Zab isn't the same guy down the stretch. If Zab catches him with that left uppercut early though, it will probably be curtains for Amir, his chin isn't good enough to take that shot without being at the least badly hurt.

    I actually favour Judah in this fight truthfully...sure Judah may not hit harder than Maidana but he is faster and a better finisher imo...so where Marcos hurt Khan and went in for the kill swinging wildly, Judah will be more accurate and remain composed...

    I expect a Judah TKO or a MD to Khan!

    Zab packs more power with those perfectly time counters he gets off.

    Maidanas power comes from constant pressure.

    That is certainly true but Zab recently stopped Mabuza in the 2nd half of that fight, Spinks also late - the power is still with him therefore the opportunity vs. a suspect chin. So the longer it goes the more chances he'll get, that's why I think Khan should finish it early.
    Much faster, far more accuarate and works angles better - he might not hit harder but delivers so much better.

    i'm gonna favor Judah here, he needs to knock him out at early rounds.

    I think Maidana hits with more force but generally you can see his punches coming. Zab hit Mayweather pretty cleanly a few times because of the factors you just mentioned.

    Question:

    Do u guys think Zab could get screwd in a decision if he doesn't get the KO?

    I mean I doubt Golden Boy would allow Amir to lose to Judah who is seen by most to be a has been (or a never was by others)

    Zab never was a points guy. X-Mas gift vs. Mattysse, behind on points in most of his big fights, he's an economical destroyer and Khan is a volume puncher, so IMO a few KDs are necessary to make it close on points. And it's Zab's home country possibly with a co-promotion, so I don't see a robbery, not with this style match-up.

    I think khan will play it safe and justg shoot enough 1/2's from the outside without lunging in so he doesnt get caught, but does enough to win rounds.

    I think it could come down to Judah landing the cleaner harder shots vs Khan's volume and workrate. This could lead to debate either way. I can also see Khan getting dropped and stopped as well as Judah gassing as Khan lands some nice bodyshots and then stops him late.
