To round out his legacy he needs to fight Cotto, Margarito, and the Williams/Cintron winner.

If with the three aforementioned fights, he were to fight (and beat) Pavlik, then retire undefeated, a good case could be made for him being the best ever, the alltime p4p #1.

Where`s all the Nigel Benns and the Mike Tysons gone? The boxers who came to fight toe to toe wanting to knock off the opponents heads in 1. The boxers who came ready for war. The only plan they came with was throw, throw and throw. And then some.
I kinda felt Hattons 0 was going to go against the showman Floyd Mayweather. Him and B.Hop are the masters of showmanship. They certainly don`t come to fight a fight the way Tyson used to break out from the first bell. There was never any need to hype a Tyson fight because everybody knew the actual fight on the night would be like a nuclear bomb going off in that ring.
Skills pays the bills as PBF puts it, but isnt that just showmanship. What about the paying public who came to see a FIGHT? And the millions all over the world who wanted to see a FIGHT! 2 men knocking the holy cr*p out of each other. I don`t want to pay to see a boxer stay in a corner or duck constantly or walk backward circles and wait for round 9/10 to wake up and start throwing. I certainly could not call Mayweather or B.Hop warriors of the ring. Could you say it? Honestly? They have truly mastered the art of showmanship. Whats wrong with getting your head punched? Floyd would not have to run from Margarito. He could just walk around the ring. Margarito is THE slowest welter out of them all. He has no leg speed and would just be target practice.

 

While your post is admirable, it's also completely idiotic. If Floyd tried to fight like Tyson, his career would have been over a long time ago. He wouldn't have made as much money, and much less people would've come to see him fight or even know who he is. Everyone has to play to their strengths. That's exactly what Tyson did, and that's what B-Hop and Floyd continue to do.

It's easy for someone like yourself to sit at home and say other people should be more willing to get their brains beaten in, and for what reason? Would it result in Floyd or Nard being better fighters? Would they have more money? A better legacy? More fans? The answer to all of these questions are no. Neither one of these guys are big punchers. Going in their and trying to slug out all the time would be disastourous and in no way would help them.

Ok so they have made millions and a record second to none but that does`nt mean i got to respect that being a boxing fan. They don`t come to fight and they stick to the plan of not making it a fight. I`m afraid we all get suckered into the trash talk and we expect a war. Only when you see the fight again i have this feeling of zero interest inside me.

Go down to your local boxing gym (if you still have one) and go in for one round of sparring where you will get punched in the nose for the first time, and you will quit. Thats whats wrong with being punched. It hurts, it sucks.

just the oposite. arum is on record as saying he will not give out the ppv numbers, because the fighters will want to be paid according to those numbers. so it is in his own best interest to release numbers that are lower than the actuall total.
