The issue of PED's has been coming up a lot lately and now fighters are mindlessly accusing each other of taking enhancers without any thought of what it does to the credibility of the sport.

I think it's time for the commissions to step up and start making more stringent testing; at least in title fights. They take such a huge commission fee - i am sure they can freaking well afford it.

Floyd Mayweather has created a culture of "*****", where any scared boxer or any beaten boxer can just scream "PEDs!", and every ***** moron believes them.

It has already sullied Bernard Hopkins's world record achievement. Makes me ****ing sick.

Apparently EPO can only be detected by a blood test and can cycle out of the body very quickly. This is justification enough for an improvement in standards

I agree with what people are saying but would it really hurt to have Olympic testing? Not because Mayweather wants Pac to take them but because they are really are a good thing for the sport. If the majority of guys, including Pac, are clean then they should have no problem with the tests right?

The only thing is, that the sanctioning bodies should be demanding the tests. Not a boxer who is using it as an excuse.

but to answer the question of the thread, I think it is hurting the sport. All these accusations do is give Boxing bad publicity and that is obviously not a good thing.

    Whats killing the sport:

Fighters making baseless PED accusations against other fighters.
Fighters behaving like chimps and giving the general population that boxing is a gutter sport.
Fighters talking too much **** then carefully selecting opponents to avoid risking their '0'.
Fighters avoiding the big, dangerous fights then saying they are all time greats.
Fighters thinking they are bigger than the sport itself and that rules dont apply to them, coming in overweight, using outlawed drugs..

    See FMJ.

To me the real problem comes from baseball. Had Jose Canseco run his mouth and then found out to be making the whole thing up, I don't think anyone would have listened to further accusations by anyone. We might even have "Jose Mayweather" jokes. But now we have a precedent that tells us people at the top of their game may well be on something and have evidence proving it.

I would prefer to believe that Pac (for example) is not on PEDs, but I'd have preferred to believe that Raphael Palmeiro wasn't either.

well Palmeiro was caught on a list of Steroid buyers (if im not mistaken) or some other list where he failed a drug test

there's actual proof he cheated. No such proof exists with Pac. Unless we have some sort of proof we cant be accusing people of steroid use.

I thought EPO testing is done through urine. Blood testing for EPO is to see if there's an abnormal level of EPO. If there is, then a urine test is done to identify if EPO was actually used.

HGH is the drug that can't be detected through urine.

PED-o-files exist in boxing. It's irrefutable.

If you are clean? Test and continue to win. Simple as that.

may be its a sign that the integrity is ripped apart by juicers?

maybe enough boxers realize steroids are an issue

i mean how many sports heroes are on them and how many ppeople are crushed when their heroes are caught

i think some fans are in real denial
