No because he choose for it not to be. He stopped carrying about legacy and dropped a lot of points in the legacy department.

But he also has done better then what the haters have been saying.

Example: the perception is that Carlos Baldomir was a bum that Mayweather fought at WW even though he was the linear champ. Yet how many people believe that Juan Manuel Marquez would have been able to move up to WW and take on Baldomir given the size and weight advantage and win? And Marquez has been one of the most skilled boxers in boxing over the last 10 yrs. Mayweather did that analogy by fighting Hoya who is 10 times better then Baldomir at 154.

If Marquez were to have gone up to WW and beat Baldomir he would get amazing praise. Mayweather goes to middleweight to beat Hoya and its not even viewed as an accomplishment.

You actually think that Pacquiao and Mayweather are competing for a bigger Legacy? Mayweather interests and Pacquiao interests are close to being the same. They both fight for Money. Mayweather may have a problem risking a loss because he puts so much belief in his undefeated record, but history will show that, that zero is tainted.

Pacquiao continues to fight everyone that will bring in a buck. The problem is he is running out of big buck opponents. He might actually have to step up again and fight Martinez. If that happens, Mayweather's Legacy stock will plummet. I think Mayweather is making a big mistake not taking the fight with Pacquiao.

We can argue who will win between Pac and Mayweather, if they ever fought, but there's no arguing who has a better legacy.

You mean light middle? Floyd will never fight anyone at middleweight. And Marquez would have had to go up over two weight classes to fight Baldomir. They have always been 3 weight classes apart. Floyd didn't even do that with Oscar. They were one weight class apart. Marquez beating Baldomir would equal to Floyd beating Abraham.
