golden boy and matthysse must be confident of a KO victory here because they are never going to get a decision. for alexander its a bigger fight than the bradley one because a loss here could end any hopes of him being a serious contender in the division in the near future. theres only 2 results possible, matthysse KO or alexander close ud. i think matthysse could take it if everything in his camp goes to plan, matthysse ko.
I wasn't as impressed with Mathysse against Zab as a lot of people were, I didn't think he got a lot done until the 9th or 10th rounds. I think Alexander outboxes him and wins comfortably on the cards.
Why can't people figure out how to make public polls? ...or ones with end dates? (like say, the eve of the fight...so that people can't go and vote ex post facto when the thread gets bumped in the aftermath) :-(
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKsnH1oGNAQ&feature=related[/ame] Alexander **** the bed against Bradley but hes had other fights. He lifted Urango off the ground with this uppercut. Mathysse is nothing special.
Not having to contend with the prehistoric dome of Bradley should make Alexander a lot more at ease in the ring. I'm a Matthysse fan. I think he probably beat Judah. But I still have a feeling that Alexander will box safely to a decision victory.
Alexander is going to win this. going to be a good fight, but I have a hard time believing Lucas has much of a chance.
Alexander has never really impressed me. It seems like he has no feel for his opponent or the proper distance and ends up just throwing combinations he practiced in the gym. The Urango KO was nice but leading up to that moment in the fight he seemed really flustered. I wouldn't be surprised to see Alexander's inablility to control distance or punch with purpose hang him with another L. Even if he does lose, he is still young and can learn and come back stronger in the future.
Alexander, Dont know the odds. ALexander is still Number 4/5 at 140, Mathysse is top 10. Am going to put money on Alexander- I think he will win on points but an outright bet is more safe
