Both under prepared and out of shape. Who wins?

1988 Mike Tyson who KO'd Tony Tubbs in Tokyo was IMO the same as 1990 Mike Tyson who was KTFO by Buster Douglas in Tokyo. IF Tubbs had come in mint shape like 229 VS Pagey, then he might of won VS Tyson before Douglas did. BUT Tubbs came in heavy at 238 so he got KO'd early.

:thinkNo. The Tyson from March of 88 would of ****ed up Lewis(south Africa).
1990 Tyson probably would have dropped Lewis.... But late in the fight.

In march of 88 Tyson was motivated & trying to impress the gold digger he had recently married

Tyson KO 6 by lucky punch.

Past-prime Lenny Lewis was a slow fat old man, Tyson was 100% PEAK.

    Tyson all day.

Tyson throughout the fight in Tokyo was looking for that one punch to end it

Lennox looked much worse than Douglas did.

Tyson was looking for that one punch, Lennox was literally asking for that one punch (which he got, courtesy of Rahman)

Tyson showed he could go 11 rounds. Lennox was out of gas after what 2-3 rounds?

Interesting fight between two poorly prepared world champions. Both Tyson & Lewis were listless, lethargic, looked like they were sleepwalking, had very low punch-outputs per round & slow movement. Both men had very poor defense throughout on those upsetting nights in 1990 & 2001. They each looked like they were being lazy; sluggishly trying to end it with one headhunting bomb. I'll take Tyson to find that one big bomb they were both searching for, due to his extra durability & chin which allow him to absorb punches better. It might take quite a while to end things though, & i envisage Lewis taking an early lead. By the mid-rounds a tiring Lewis cannot stop Tyson from lethargically plodding forward, setting-up as a stationary target, loading up with a big telegraphed bomb with a long fuse, & finally scoring flush on the chin.

A slow Lewis would have eventually landed a killer punch on a lacklustre Tyson.
