check out the video from this city in Michigan. man, I feel for him. He had a rough background. http://abcnews.go.com/WNT/video/grand-rapids-vibrant-american-pie-13758402
Not only to mention, he had a father and an uncle who were professional fighters.... Yea this guy was really impoverished.
Maybe not financially but most American kids don't get their AZZ beat and drilled by a prizefighter daddy
And he's a millionare now, world famous. Life could be worse, he might have not had a dad to teach him all the tricks of the trade, he might of had to learn them himself.
Pretty hardcore alright. But check out these Crips from General Santos City showing off blue pride. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9Uw4cX-Dr8[/ame]
Grand Rapids just got some of my help. I just ordered a $700 home entertainment center furniture a few days ago from a company there.
I don't think Sr. made much money as a fighter (maybe as a coke dealer he did). Roger probably made some decent money. Floyd grew up decent economically though from what I heard. Floyd Jr. actually probably grew up better than Cory Spinks, whose dad AND uncle were HW champs of the world. Cory is from a St Louis ghetto. Its amazing how bad some people are with their money.
Just because Floyds uncle and dad made money boxing doesn't mean Floyd couldn't have had a difficult childhood coming up.
Uhh im from Grand Rapids and Floyd went to Ottawa Hills high school. Doesnt get much more ghetto then that. They had tires as endzone markers. GR isnt Flint or Detroit, but im pretty sure its crime rate is above the national average. Good to see the Hometown surviving though.
were you in that parade cause i counted like only 1 black person.. anyways, i thought that was a cool as **** vid.
