George Groves won because he wast losing?

    De Gale didnt let his hands go enough and didnt shut the ring off

    When ever he threw multiple shots Groves had trouble look at the 9th.
    If Degale had upped his workrate and cut the ring off instead of just following groves about he would have won fairly straight forwardly i think as it was he was out thought tactically and couldnt adjust - massive credit to Booth and Groves for getting the game plan together and executing it well

    But I think that's a double edged sword, its hard to get off on a moving target, consistently anyway, so the focus is on cutting the exits off before letting your hands go, so you can trap the guy, have a more stationary target to hit.

    If you gonna hit a moving target, you need to be able to put the jab on him first, to stabilize him, cause its like Tarver always says, if you cant hit a guy with a jab, you can forget about hitting him with a right hand.

    Interesting, but not exciting. If you aren't interested in the two boxers it wouldn't be top of fights for replay value.

    Yeah, if your emotionally invested in the fight, due to the build up, the animosity between the two, its an interesting watch, but if not, then.......

    I think this is a pile of bollocks, personally.

    Mayweather treats his opponent with utter contempt before he fights them, and he got the benefit of two SDs vs Castillo and Oscar. And you could find a million other examples of where a "bad boy" got the decision in a close fight.

    I don't believe judges care who the nice guy and who the potentially nasty guy are. They score the fight. DeGale lost. Accept it, move on.

    Benefit of an SD vs Oscar? Did you see it? He toyed with him, made him look amateur, and should have won clearly by at least 4 rounds.

    Of coarse it wont always ring true, but those are individual cases, there is all manor of things to consider when comparing it to other fights, like Mayweather was an established superstar, De Gale isn't, or wasn't. Sometimes, maybe the house fighter, the network fighter, gets the benefit of the doubt cause he's making a lot of money for other people, not just himself?

    Its not that I need! to accept it, its irrelevant to me who won, but I'm glad Grovees did win, but my point was, assessing how it was achieved, and I have already said De Gale has himself to blame, that Groves deserved to win based on what he reduced De Gale to with his tactics.

    horrible ****ing decision Degale won that 8 rds to 4 ....Groves did absolutely nothing to deserve that win Degale forced the fight and landed all the telling blows, ****ing robbery of the highest order.
