    I agree mate.
This is the problem with the British fighters, we have a decent prospect and i mean decent not ****ing World Class (as he hasn't fought ANYBODY of ANY NOTE Yet, surely to be WC you have to beat a WC fighter) and they get over-hyped and overrated, then expectations soar. Best prospect in 30 years?? WTF. Barry didn't do himself any favors putting the kid in that category. The pressure is ON. I tell you something as well he is decent but to be honest doesn't stand out as being anything special.

give him a chance, its all a learning process for Frampton at the moment and shouldn't be written off after 1 fight:good

Typical overreactions from people on here. Loads of future world champions have had nights where club fighters have given them some issues. Froch was made look ordinary in a few of his early fights. Just like the Frankie Gavin fight, people are getting carried away. If he puts on a great performance next time people will be saying he's a monster, just like after the Reid fight. I call it recent-fight-syndrome.

Frampton is still a great prospect but he has a lot of learning to do. McGuigan should tone down the hyping of him though. I know he's just saying this to promote Carl but he's putting unnecessary extra pressure on him to perform also.

I'm not saying the kid is not a half decent fighter but calm down with all the, 'world class' and 'best prospect ever' labels. Calm down.

I agree with this, Frampton is only a prospect after all, and he will a have learned a lot in his fight with Turley. He faced an opponent who was tall, awkward and knew how to box from distance. He also had to deal with a cut, and dealt with it very well. People should slow down their expectations of Carl for a while and let him develop. But I think it was an ok performance, and just the type of a fight a young boxer needs.

Frampton was looking for highlight reel punches he half admitted that in interview at end. I think he should of taken it to the inside and work Turley's body stopped the movement of him then set about breaking him down but he did a decent job and landed some very good shots at times. Turley was running on sheer adrenaline at times and did a fantastic job and hope he gets more air time and more good fights because he's a good pro.

Carl showed good things and showed things he needs to develop but i think it was the right fight at the right time of his career.

I also agree with this, prior to this fight Frampton hadnt really learnt anything but he has now and it can be said quite confidently, actually he still has alot of work to do and is a good prospect nothing else!

I was actually more impressed with Frampton after that fight then most of his other fights.

Came through a relatively tough 10 rounder with a tough and awkward fighter in Turley, winning every round. The lessons he learned in there will stand to him and its great he is getting this sort of competition early on..

Too close to call for me. Both are good prospects.

I wouldnt say easy, as in any easier then any other young prospect. I think to fight and beat the likes of Voronin in your 7th fight is a lot more impressive then other so called prospects, so i wouldnt say he is being protected more than anyone else. Also, Turley was known to be a tall rangey, awkward fighter with a great chin. So again, not an easy fight for a professional novice...

I thought Carl, faced with an opponent with nothing to lose, suffered for his own impatience and was maybe a little affected by an occasion on which he was understandably very, very keen to impress.

I think he still had some great moments in the fight, though.

winning every round my arse...let me tell you Turley was treated like **** as the away fighter...brought there to lose after three weeks notice for the fight. He is a young prospect also and I say prospect as he is quite talented. sky would not allow him to walk in on the ramp or allow him his walk on music until there was a row about it. Everything against him mentaly but he showed how good he is and exposed frampton...lets see who wins when Frampton beasts Booth in a rematch with the correct preparation.
