These guy's really are part of the life and soul of boxing, I see great pro trainer's like steward and Roach get all the credit in the world on here, but I dont see much love for the amateur trainers of the world. These guy's are doing what they do for the love of the sport and to develop young aspiring boxers right from the start of their career's. Without them we would no doubt not have many of the fighters we now consider great. And unlike the big name pro trainer's they are not doing it for a 10 per cent cut of a 5 million dollar purse. They are part of what is keeping the sport alive today:good Remember them the next time you watch a great up and comer fight:deal
The amateur coaches have given every single boxer their foundation and behind every great boxer there was an amateur coach who thought them the fundamentals of the sport they brought with them into the pros. :happy
They are the silent masters of this sport, boxing's working class heroes. Their reward is only personal satisfaction as amateur boxing is on the media blacklist and they rarely get the credit when their pupils end up being a successful pro with an 'ATG trainer' taking all the corner credit.
