But still not enough to warrant a split of no greater than 50-50 when he and Pac makes the fight.

I thought they agreed on 50:50 I dont think the split is really an issue....to be fair Mayweather seems to have always been fair when at the negoatiating table......Not to knock Manny but he is the one who almost pulled out of a bout over the money (see Hatton)

But to be honest I dont see money being an issue for this fight

See this is really easy, if you give each and every relevant person in the world - hardcore boxing fan or not - a sum of money which they can only use to purchase one fight:
    a. Mayweather vs nobody
    b. Pacquiao vs nobody

Do you shitheads seriously think that most people will watch Mayweather?

And I know for fact that even you *****s will want to watch Manny demolish whoever was in the ring against him.

Instead of hoping Pacquiao or Mayweather PPV's fail so they make the other guy look more popular, we should be rooting for both guys to do well since they're pretty much the only thing keeping boxing in the mainstream right now.

True. And every reasonable fan of the sport would agree that the purse should be 50-50.

Aside, May always, and I mean always, "try" to push for a higher purse though.
But I agree, so far he always seem to agree with the 50-50 split so it's not the issue.

its because his style isnt crowd pleasing...hes boring to the casual fan....and yet he still does bigger numbers.....at that point, when he was fighting mitchell, he wasnt even a real star yet fool...it was a fight designed for him to test himself at 147 before he started making major moves

I understand that they never own up to anything as far as Mayweathers concern, but that dont mean we should have to lower ourselves down to that level. Speak the truth about what you see, you may not have alot of friends here on ESB, but we didnt come here to make friends.

Floyd does know how to sell a fight, No doubt, that trash talk style of promoting will always sell it still sells in the WWE and that **** is wack, However Manny does his selling with his fist, and that to must be respected.

Again I think at the end of it all we agree, that none of us started watching this sport because of the PPV numbers or the gate, we need to get back to that rather than focusing on who is selling what to who....

Yes he was, the kid had a name for himself but was over shadowed by the welters at that time, DLH, Mosley, Forrest, etc....
But at the lighter weights Mayweather was a star, especially after he beat Corrales that way.

I would bet good money Mayweather would still outsell Manny as he KNOWS how to sell a fight very well and would trash talk so much people would pay that cash to see the fight!

Now if you want to be honest Im sure alot of people enjoying watching Manny more than Floyd what figure I cant really say but just as some people like Manny's style of being aggressive, but dont act like people dont like Mayweathers brilliance. I mean lets be real dude isnt a Tyson type of fighter he is dominating people without getting hit and he is STILL mad popular!

Seriously this post is nonsense, its a weak attempt to take a cheap shot at Mayweather, bring half a brain and we may have something to talk about...

Numbers don't lie. Manny since 2009 in his last 2 PPV events vs Floyd since 2009 in his last 2 PPV events is ahead by over half a million. For a foreign boxer whose home town fans base does not even count in the numbers that speaks volumes.

From hereon Manny does not need Floyd to break big numbers.
Floyd if he does not face Manny his numbers will continue dipping as he has fell off since his 2007 vs Oscar. He has lost 1 million viewers or more every PPV event from his 2007 numbers w/ODLH.

One man on the decline and one man on the rise. simple

George Foreman Grill "Manny doesn't need Floyd in his life"
Michael Buffer "Floyd is safer in jail"
Jim Lampley "Manny Pacquiao is a storm"

Honestly he is right, Pac vs a Nobody outsells Mayweather vs Nobody in todays boxing market... its a fact.
Floyd does not have the style that make fans say I am willing to shed out 50 bux to watch him fight, who ever that guy is...
Why? Cus they know likely they are not going to get an fight, they are going to get a clinic, and lets be real fans dont really admire clinics when your fighting a nobody they would rather you make a statement and show the world that the nobody your fighting isnt on your level, and 99% of the fans know, they will get that with Manny, and the same 99% know they wont get that from Mayweather...
So odds are more people will pay to watch manny fight a nobody based on what they bring to the fight.

theres no arguing with u tards

you have every advantage there is...likeable, crowd pleasing, supposed #1 p4p fighter in the world....cbs exposure line that arum crammed up everyones ass....and u still couldnt outsell the king

all these clowns keep hanging on to pac doing good numbers against floyd who is american...who cares what country floyd is from...people have never backed good african american, non heavyweight, fighters....roy was never a superstar....shane wasnt either....

I'm not taking anything from of May, yes he is a brilliant artist both inside and outside of the ring, I'm just saying that on even grounds, Manny will always sell more because of the simple fact that you noted that his style is more easily appealing to the world.

I'm not saying May is not the king PPV, I'm saying Ceej here is stupid if he thinks May has more "silent fans".
Hell many of those "silent fans" bought the PPV's in hopes of watching Mayweather lose.

Mayweather haing more fans than Manny is simply not true especially with the world as the stage.
