He looked a little fatigued I agree, but he still won the last 4 rounds in my opinion, which is good considering Froch even admitted to performing in second gear for quite a while. I don't see the point to a break or a come-down in quality of opponent. Froch is battle hardened, the Johnson fight was easy for him because of the experience he has gained in recent fights, why end that. I'm sorry, what?
I agree with Froch about the Johnson fight, when he said he got stuck in second gear after initially trying to hold something back. A break would do him more harm than good at this stage. He realised after the Kessler fight that it's not beneficial for him to keep being in wars and i think his made some good adjustments. I don't think the Johnson fight was that taxing for him apart from the odd right hand he took.
:dealYeah you can't take nothing away from Johnson. A warrior. But i haven't really seen him stand off so much as he did against Froch, so at the same time i think Froch's punches should be given credit too! Glen said afterwards that Carl was catching him with weird, awkward punches which i think bothered him a lot.
It wouldn´t surprise me if Froch delays the fight with Ward in some way...faking an injurie or whatever...just to gain some time. He did that after the Kessler fight also and it seems like a smart move at this moment.
