Floyd is a G. This is a step in the right direction. I only question his low punch resistance at WW. Besides that and his inability to fight a real Welter what's not to like ?

good point. Same thing happened to Ali and Sugar Ray Robinson
 Marquez is such a better fight than Ortiz

Cause he's not fighting Pac or Sergio...And we had to wait 15 months for him to fight Ortiz, a guy no one was asking Floyd to fight.

If this is a tune up for Pac or Sergio then fine, but not if not then this is yet another bullsh*t ploy by May...

In regards to your thread, I respect the skills no doubt, he's one of the best talented boxers or our generation without question, but his lack of heart and sh*tty personality ruin it for me therefore I can't stand the man and don't support him...Not to mention as a boxer he's boring as h*ll...

honestly, floyd the boxer is good - good this, good that, all that. a bit boring, and a cherry picker yeah. floyd the person - not for me, not a good role model in my opinion.

the real problem is floyd the non-existent warrior.

You gotta respect Floyd's talent period... and I respect this fight with Ortiz (after a long lay-off anyway)

Floyd will still be the odds on favorite to win (like all of his fights to date)

He may well be the best technical boxer ever imo... but he will never be "the greatest' until he actually takes a risk and goes into a fight as a true underdog.

    Thats what the greats do.

You've gotta be blind if you can't see how talented he is. Easy to get distracted with all the **** he does outside the ring but the guy was born to fight. Such a natural.
