Pac is fighting one of the most accomplished counterpunchers in November

Floyd is fighting a slugger who just came off a huge win in September.

    Hope?

dude JMM is not a damn tuneup fight!!! Hes a guy that beat the crap out of Pac 2 times. im not saying Pac lost those 2 fights but boy his face hurt bad after both of them. and Ortiz is a champion and actually has a chance. it might be slim but he does

Thing is guys, I would love to believe that JMM will make this fight competitive, and I think that had this fight taken place immediately after the second fight, he would have. But I look at the fact that he's 3 years older now, and that he's fighting a version of Pacquiao who's presently a legitimate welterweight well beyond JMM's ideal fighting weight, and it makes me wonder if this might me a serious mismatch at this point of both fighters' careers.

    Tell me what I'm missing?

Like Hatton and hoya was for Pacquiao? If Pac knocks marquez out he'll outdo Floyd for the 3rd time.

Except he might not be fighting the same Marquez who Floyd fought, just like he didn't fight the same ODLH who Floyd fought. And I say this as someone who likes Pac more than Floyd on multiple levels.

Floyd is so good that someone like JMM might as well be a tune-up.

Predicted last year that Pac/May wouldn't happen until 2012 and hopefully these fights end up making that fight happen.
