Void ducks Pac once again, gives up the largest payday in boxing history, by far! Void is void..............

In my horribly uneducated opinion, I dont think this is such a bad match up. after 16 months off Floyd was never going to go straight in against Pac. Ortiz is making waves, and is a hard hitting south paw. As has been said - might be a tune up for a Pac match. I wouldn't be too surprised if talks start up again after their respective fights.

But anyway, who else is there for him to fight f he doesn't fight Pac next?

Does he 'lose the urge' for another year and then come back to fight the next young champ who's moved up to WW?

If that's his intention then he'll become a part-time fighter who will gradually lose relevance - once his contemporaries like Pac, Shane, Margarito etc start retiring, he'll be like the dumb kid at school who had to keep repeating year 6 - left behind in the wake.

Indeed, if he takes another year off. But i think his legal strife mucked him up a bit...not that floyd being the dick he is wasnt the cause of most of that.

Fighting the young champ trumps clottey, margarito, mosley. Pac hasnt lost any relevance, you cant knock floyd based on his opposition so i dont think he's staring at the prospect of losing any relevance. If he hibernates for a year after this then yeah, you could have a point.

That's simply not true. At this point in time, Pac is THE biggest thing in boxing.

Where is it at ... I've read where someone pointed out that Ortiz has said yes to the blood test .

But before i paid homage to that fact , i would be inclined to ask is the fight going to be held in Vegas or is Mayweather ONCE AGAIN going to insist its held in a state that ALLOWS HIM to take pain killers BEFORE THE FIGHT alledgedly for his hands , because in my mind up till now its 50 -50 .

One refuses to be tested for drugs that stimulate , the other admits he takes pain killers . Now has far has i'm concerned ANYTHING that dulls pain before a fight is cheating.

Better than a boxing commission getting a cup of **** off them that most likely ends up flushed down the toilet two minutes later.

Not sure what "thing" means. But the numbers that count are ppv. And floyd sells more than manny. If its true floyd is getting 40 mill for ortiz.

floyds all hype.....this fight is full of **** and this is my prediction for this floyd circus...
1.no title will be on the line.
2.it will not be at ww but be at catchwieght thus giving no relevence to fighting the ww champion.
3.he had too choose margarito, cotto.martinez or pac but he chooses oritz
this guy is full of ****.

Good fight imo. Would definitely prefer to see him fight Pac though.

Lol, so margarito or cotto is better than ortiz? They are toprank fighters, im sure it would be a futile exercise even if floyd did want either of those two.

Full of **** is manny v mosley.

These mobs are no better than the Nev State Ath Comm, or any local commission. Big $$$ fights = guys in positions of authority bending rules with brown paper bags. The more $$$ involved, the more they want. No different to some scabby church. All want a slice.

Do you think Floyd is clean??

Do you think Manny is clean??

These two won't fight because Floyd doesn't want too. Not because Manny is a drug cheat. This fight will generate Half a billion $$$ or more. No anti-doping twats will prevent it going ahead when Floyd grows nuts and signs a contract. Both fighters will have to place orders on their own test results 'never' being made public.

Some serious accusations will be proven correct regarding Manny down the track. Take a look at Carl Lewis..

Good fight, much braver choice than Mosley, Clottey and Margarito
