no, he is a textbook fighter. he uses his jab and throws a right hand after it. He doesnt have the defense of a slick fighter

Yes, he's actually harder to hit than you think, but he doesn't even care too much about getting hit cus he has a diamond chin

He's slick in boxing the way Larry Bird was slick in basketball. Maybe not the "prettiest" to watch but gritty mofo's that know how to win :good

Slick fighters usually don't get hit as often and cleanly as Froch does...so no

akward and resourceful is more like it. but it works i guess. might throw ward around the loop for the first two rounds but i'm he will figure froch out by the third or fourth round. i remember when i first saw froch hit the mitts and i thought swear it looked no different than some amateur, or regular person learning how to box just to workout.

Froch was a world class amateur, a fact many don't know, even here in england.
The guy's obviuosly got skills, slick aint the right world though. I like the way he moves away ,side on though. Good counter puncher, great chin.

i knew of his amateur pedigree, but still you have to admitt that is some sloppy mitt work. and i agree that his chin is pretty solid. people should pick up on this by now and start going to his body. i'm sure bute would test that body if they ever fought.

    That's just misremembered bull****.

Froch took maybe 20 power punches to the head during the entire fight, and almost half of them were in round 8. Johnson averaged about 1 a round excluding that one.

Froch barely got hit at all.

Could we say he trys to be slick, doesn't quite succeed, but makes up for it with his chin and heart?

Froch is as hard as ****ing nails and has 100% total self belief. Couple this with a granite chin and heavy hands and you have a very formidable fighter who won't lose many
