I'm a Pac fan. I like this fight. Its about time the established fighters let the young guys get a shot instead of the old vs. old and young vs. young we've had going for the last 5 or so years at WW.

Win or loose its nice to see some new blood getting a shot.

Aren't you *******s a bit bored of this now

Saying Ortiz is crap,50 million times, on a message board only 5'000 peopleof the worlds population read, isn't going to change anyones mind on the whole Pacquiao/Mayweather thing

You don't enjoy people thinking Mayeather is fighting better guys, so devote large amounts of time, flooding sites with articles that don't say it.

You know, go on any other site, and they're only saying one thing.

    Great fight Floyd. Well done.

I don't really mind the resentment. It's expected.

    But, stop insulting people's intelligence

Berto untested.........As in a guy with 7-8 title defences, and number 2 in the division!?

As I said, people expect a bit of hate, but don't embarrass yourself scratching around for excuses

Ortiz is, most people are saying, on most sites, probably the 3rd or 4th most dangerous fight either Manny or Mayweather could take

You posted this exact same article yesterday by the way?

Post it 50 more times. It's not going to change anyones mind

Clottey has lost every title fight he's ever had basically, and hasn't ever beaten anyone remotely legit as Berto

That's why Manny didn't get huge credit. He was just doing something Carlos Baldomir did

Thing that annoys me is this stupid ******* theory you read that you get "undeserving challengers"

As in, the top guys only fight names, that have won and lost bouts with hall of famers

It's ridicululous. The best make their names taking on the best in the division

Can't believe people try and justify cherry picking

Mayweather only fought "deserving" people for years. He got slaughtered by fans

    A classic ******* tactic

Just inventing a scenario that would never happen!

Manny isn't fighting Martinez now!? He could fight him any time he wanted to

Are fans killing him for taking Mosely over Martinez? Of course not

You know, the simple thing is that Manny and Floyd have spent at least a few years each cashing in on older names.

    That's not what people respect

People respect Carl Froch for taking on endless, highly ranked, dangerous opponents, no matter whether they are going to the hall of fame or not

    That's what this fight is.

Zomg, 1 fight and he's the best there is. He also quit against a 140lber lol. Oh, and Berto was overrated too.

Damn butthurt much? It's not an article, it's my opinion. Check the date also, it says yesterday. :patsch I'm also not the one trying to bring Pacquiao into this discussion, it was just an example like the other few I've posted in this thread. You seem to like to zero in on him though.

If you're going to go to the Berto argument then fine- I still stand by the fact that if anyone's gonna get **** for fighting leftovers, Berto should too.

The problem with this fight is Ortiz has lost his only world level test against Maidana pretty badly and that was at 140 plus Maidana is not even the best in the world at that weight anyway, second problem is Ortiz has fought once at 147 while Mayweather is entering the ring these days at close to 160.Its a tune up fight made to look like a real fight just to try and generate money.
