How funny if Ortiz did beat Mayweather

    Not many people are talking about this possibility. I do think Floyd picked the most marketable opponent with the least risk possible. The guy just moved from 140 (in which his last 2 fights there was a QUIT and a draw), but I do consider his win over Berto pretty good.
    Berto was overrated no doubt, but the fight was great, and Ortiz looked like Margarito vs Cotto (the man wouldn't be denied no matter what).

    If he could come in this way against Floyd, I'm sure he's going to train like he never has before...He was insane about proving all the haters wrong about him, and you'd think he'd train twice as hard for this.
    Add to the fact that Mayweather didn't move much against Mosley (possible sign of getting old) and that's been over a year ago. I think Ortiz is limited, and as Maidana and Berto proved Ortiz can be hurt...I just don't think Mayweather can do it unless Ortiz is straight up worn out. I don't think he stands with Ortiz to much.

    So, I dunno. I won't be ordering the PPV, but I'll happily watch it free the next week on HBO. I give Ortiz like 20% chance of winning, but just how funny would it be if he did pull it off? Ortiz beats Mayweather, Ortiz fights Pac, and if he gets by both then Sergio Martinez mops the floor with him at 154!!! :yep

    I'd like to see Ortiz beat them both. Then the superfight becomes the battle of Ortiz's leftovers. :D

    Not bloody gonna happen, but if it did it'd be epic.

    I could see ortiz winning some early rounds and dare I say it... I think Ortiz knocks him down once... But Mayweather will take over around the 5th and cruise to a UD.

    i actually have a feeling that either pac or may will lose their next fight, because it will just **** things up even more, which is how boxing usually works

    it would be a catrastophe, and would kill the biggest fight of this era. Floyd ain't losing though, he's proven throughout his career it takes a hell of a lot more than brute strength and winging a lot of punches to beat him. ortiz is not smart enough to do it

    Ortiz is big and powerful at 147 his more natural weight, if he catches Floyd left hook it could be good night, don't count Ortiz out.

    Floyd doesn't fight no caveman style involving a lot of physicality where having a bunch of heart is extremely significant for his opponents.

    You actually need skills to **** with Floyd.

    Castillo had a better style or skillset to fight Floyd with. Do you want me to dick slap so you can get your head together? You can brag to everyone and say the bruise is from a fist fight.
