The worst bit was after each round he was saying something akin to 'they're biased so i give that round to Valuev' and before they announced the result he says 'they won't have it as close as i did, because they are biased'. The most biased people scoring the fight worked for Sky. It's amazing how much difference it makes to have one sided commentary. I make a conscious decision to be impartial and it seems to work. I'll always remember explaining to my friends that are 'part-time' fans that Haye was winning, they wouldn't buy it. Sat them down a couple of days later with the sound off and made them watch it again.
I'm a 'fulltime' fan, and even impartial I wasn't sure Haye had done enough to win. I turned the sound down on Holyfield-Valuev and scored it the same twice. Never again. And that was a better fight than Haye-Valuev.
I didn't score the Holyfield fight but thought he won. I don't know what commentary was like because I had to watch it in a foreign language.
i have never watched a fight twice i just like watching it live thinking what is goiong to happen next would never watch a fight without commentry would find it to boring and the most biased commentry i heard was Woodhall when smith was bearhugging his way through the simpson rematch
Same here, if I'm not wrong I've got another version in a different foreign language with one or two different shots. It really isn't worth me checking the validity of that
mr boxing insider? you sound like the type of guy who would complain about anything and everthing. get a life, get a girlfreind and enjoy the boxing. you loser
i watched the valuev vs holyfield fight with german commentary i couldnt understand and scored it to valuev. the us commentary were very biased. allmost of neutral ringside journos scored it to valuev to. holyfield being robbed in that fight is one of boxings great myths.
I like to think it should be the opposite. He is anawful commentator and should stay well behind the scenes.
