You're really stretching your arguments when you say Froch throws pitty pat punches. There were a couple of occasions when he snapped Johnson's head back, he also threw some mean uppercuts. Granted Froch does have an unusual technique but he throws his shots with mean intentions. I've never heard anyone say otherwise till now. Lol.

I respect Froch because he only fights the best and because he is a warrior.

However, he has never learnt to put his weight and shoulder behind his shots. His punches are mostly arm punches and thus do not carry power.

Johnson' head was snapped back one time beacuse he was backpedallimng and did not expect the punch. It was not the force of the punch.

Arm punches or not, they're not pitty pat shots. Froch is not a super-middleweight Mallignagi with powder puff punches. He's no Nigel Benn either but he hits plenty hard enough. In fact he has been with some granite chinned foes lately (kessler, abraham, johnson) and they all respected his punches. :bbb

Those combos froch threw were arm punches and only slapped johnson or hit his gloves.

The Road Warrior landed the harder punches all night

What were you watching? Plenty of shots got through. Enough for even Glen himself to realise he had lost. Jeez.

Agreed but judges oftentimes are not always that good in dissecting what lands or misses. They rather assess activity than accuracy.

I said this while watching the fight....Johnson was landing the better blows, and Froch was basically arm punching, piling up points. Alot of that stuff was being caught on the gloves anyway. Froch still won tho.

The shots did not connect cleanly and did not have power on them. Watch again and pay close attention.

Froch was never willing to take a stand and trade with teh Road Warrior who just hit much harder than him.

And do not misquote Johnson, he just said it was a close fight.

In fact this fight is a little similar than the Toney-McCallum fights. I also felt Toney won both fights even when he was less active.

Tarver must be the one of the most biast commentator ever , declaring in midway the 8th round" that this Froch's round" while ignoring several hard rights hands and the pressure of teh Road Warrior.

The thing isn Tarver influenced the others with his opinion. That should never happen.

You obviously don't know the mechanics of boxing. Weight and shoulder behind his shots? Poor terminology and the fact that you mention the shoulder which contributes very little power to a punch shows that you've never boxed or learned how to punch.

After the talk on here I was expecting to see a close fight, when I got round to watching it I was disappointed that it was so one sided for Froch. What is it about Johnson? Some people thought he won the first Dawson fight as well, it's like people give him rounds just for being Glen Johnson. Froch won easily and I don't even like Froch.

    I didn't quote anyone........

Johnson's words and demeanour post fight and in the presser afterwards said it all. :deal

Oh and I don't need to watch again, I have a couple of times thank you very much.

All said and done, a clear Froch win, for every shot he took, he answered back with many more. End of. :deal

I thought Froch clearly won. But having said that Tarver did make me chuckle of some points, he appears to be a huge fan of Carl.
