Alexander Ustinov against the best, how does he do?

    You are really overrating Ustinov. I've seen 4 fights from him and he has looked like crap in each one.

    He's not elite, period. He would have no shot against anyone in the top 10. He's slower than sin, has a low punch output and his power is so-so. He's no better than someone like Dimitrenko.

    He has less than 15% chance of making it through four rounds with Wladimir! :patsch :lol:

    He loses decisively to every other person you named, too. Including the non-elites. Even Arreola outclasses him easily.

    Michael Grant says he wants a big fight so K2 should match him with Ustinov.

    I've also heard talk of Solis-Ustinov happening when Solis heals up.

    I watched the Vidoz fight where Ustinov failed to make an impression. Way too slow, his punches might be powerful but are predictable; poor footwork and overall ring intelligence.

    Has there actually been any new news on Solis regarding his injury? It's a pity what happened to him because he might have been the 5th best heavy out there just prior to facing Vitali.

    He got the same result as highly regarded prospect Mike Perez. :conf

    Granted, he had three times as long to score the KO...but Perez is billed as a big hitter; Boswell really isn't as much.

    Yet Dimitrenko is a now a top 10 HW. He's far better than Dimi by the way and either crushes every opponent he faces or wins by a total shut out. If Wlad, Haye and Vitali all retire within 2 years this boy without a doubt picks up a HW title and holds onto it.

    Ustinov is nothing to get excited over, from what little I've seen of him.

    And he is certainly not a title threat.

    Alexander Ustinov having another tune of fight this week against Akmal Aslanov in his quest to land his deserving title shot within the next year or two.
    Hopefully he fights another 4 fights and steps it up, he's ready now but just needs to shake the rust of and get some rounds in, which isn't always easy for the unstoppable Ustinov with his stunning KO % inside the first round.

    He's big and that's it. He lacks everything else that makes a good boxer. He's so slow he makes Tyson Fury look like Ali. He's not even a legit top 20, he sucks.
