    Hmm.

I'd like to see Marquez-Pac at welter before making my pick. Right now I'd say Ortiz' size and power would be too much for JMM but might change my mind depending on how the fat, bloated lightweight does in November.

I'd say Ortiz but its a good style for MArquez as well.

MArquez is too easy to hit and Ortiz is a good sized hard hitting welterweight and MArquez in his one fight we've seen at welterweight just wasn't himself.

Ortiz knocks Marquez down twice and suffers a badly swollen face but wins a clear UD.

Logically, one would say that Ortiz is too big and poweful for Marquez at this stage. I see 5 people voted Maquez without even contributing to the discussion, so most likely they are Pac fans who chose JMM because it suits their agenda (with Pac taking on Marquez and Floyd taking on Ortiz)

It would be like a man fighting a child, Marquez would toy with Ortiz.

It'd make more sense at LWW, as Ortiz would rehydrate from 147-161lbs, meaning JMM probably wouldn't be able to hurt him, he'd walk through JMMs shots and eek out a decision win.

At 140lbs however, I think JMM could put a stomping on him.

I think Ortiz's style plays right into Marquez's hands.

Marquez is a class above Ortiz.

Marquez would be outweighed by 17+ pounds on fight night. Combine that with his hittability at his age, and I can't see Ortiz losing, even if he did win the "one win career revival sweepstakes" over Berto.

There's no comparison as far as skills go but Marquez would have been stopped by Floyd if Floyd went for it and Ortiz is a lot bigger and more powerful than Floyd, plus more aggressive....Marquez gets stopped. Katsidis was able to drop him! If Katsidis can drop you, Ortiz will destroy you.

    Really tough pick.

At 140 I would have picked JMM. But Ortiz seems a lot more comfortable at 147, and could bully JMM better than he would at 140. However, he's not really developed that much as a fighter and is still wide open to shots - which JMM could exploit. I'm split 50-50 here.
