If Pac's a small welter why didn't he fight him at 140 in the middle? :huh

Obviously the fight being at welter is Pacquiao showing us all he's not confident in beating Marquez under fair terms.


Marquez imo is actually the naturally bigger fighter, but he's at a disadvantage here at welterweight because Pacquiao gets to put on the extra lbs with the help of PED's.
Its pretty simple, we all know deep down Pacquiao's a PED user.


In any regards, Pacquiao can make 135 lbs, but the fight will be contested at 144 lbs.:nut

Maybe you are right, Pacquiao doesn't belong in the same ring with Mayweather and probably that's the reason why Floyd has been employing the most innovative/creative ways of ducking Pac!:good

 

Marquez did'nt have any interest in the title, he just wants to get at Pacquiao.

Marquez wanted the fight at 140 lbs, but he had to settle for 144 lbs or not fight Pacquiao at all.

In fact, the only reason this fight is'nt being contested at the full Welter limit of 147 lbs (whic is where Roach and Pacquiao wanted the fight at) was because GBP may have matched Arum's offer of 5 million plus PPV upside with a Canelo Alvarez fight for Marquez.

The only way to get GBP and Canelo out of the way of interfering with a JMM-Pac matchup is to bring the weight down a few pounds where they knew Canelo could'nt possibly make.


IF it had'nt been that GBP had the option to match any offer thrown at Marquez, team Pacquiao would have offered Marquez a take it or leave it fight at 147 lbs and certainly for less money.

Every advantage the PED user can take advantage of, he will.

For his lightweight fights, Marquez has been weighing in the range of 138lbs-141 lbs entering the ring.
Pacquiao has been coming in at 148 lbs.

The heaviest Marquez has been as a lightweight entering the ring was his last fight with Katsidis.
.....thats one fight, and anyone with a brain would take that as Marquez purposely getting up that high to test himself against a lesser fighter to see how he can function.

Marquez has been consistently entering the ring at 141, Pacquiao at 148 lbs, thats a 7 lbs difference. A huge disparity for fighters that size.
