Thomas Dulorme vs. Chop Chop Corely on Friday on ESPN

Dulorme is gonna be the next great Puerto Rican legend. He is going to freaking kill Chop Chop in the ring. I feel worried for him.

 

Eric Morel has dominican parents but he was raised in PR and always claimed PR as his home is not about not wanting to be dominican or being ashamed of their dominicans roots. Is about feeling more connected to the place they grew up in and the only place they know as home.

Lots of dominicans kids lose their ties with their country when they've been here for so long. My sister married a dominican that was raised here. And he spoke with no dominican accent, went to school and college here in PR and never went back to dominican republic.

Latin people that emigrate to another latin country are more willing to accept that country as their homes. More so than if they wouldve emigrate to the US where they never feel at home.

I was speaking to Lou Dibella at the Martinez-Dzinziruk weigh in about Dulorme. He told me his parents are DR and he grew up in PR.

I'm a Dominican who grew up in the USA and feel attached to both. ONe as my roots, and the other as the country whcih allowed me to be in the position I am today.

He shud rep both, from a marketing standpoint I dont understand why he wouldnt...

 

He could be Puerto Rico's next big star. I will def peep it tonight.

I dont really care where he is from, like I said before in his bio in all websites and from his OWN mouth he spent his childhood days in DR after leaving St.Marteen where he was born and eventually move to PR where he reps it. I live in the city with the second largest population of Dominicans after Washington Heights and trust me I could talk and make people believe and fit right in by talking with a Domincan accent. Let the kid rep whatever he wants. It's his choice and I think anyone will develop an accent if they spent a good part in their life in any country. Eventually he will get his PR accent and respectfully your wifes opinion doesnt matter unless if she is directly related to him she just has an opinion but not a fact:deal

I thought Dulorme looked pretty good for the most part. Throws a crisp, hard jab it seems, and I like that he utilizes the uppercut. Seems to have good footwork on the outside and he's got a good body on him.

I honestly felt he could've pressed the fight more and scored a KO. I thought he fell too in love with potshotting right hands trying to look flashy, rather than set up his combos with his good jab. And that's what is frustrating, he's obviously talented, but rather than use his good jab, he's falling into bad habits like potshotting with the straight right and that is not the way to go about it to improve as a young fighter. Also feel he was a bit too in love with the hook and he was inaccurate and wide with it. He does not look at all comfortable fighting on the inside and seems unsure of what to do once he gets there. When he's on the inside, he is ripe for counter shots as he is too upright and has his hands down. He needs to be more compactful when he's on the inside.

He's talented, but has some bad habits that he needs to get ride of.
