I bet if you are watching the fight you will be at the edge of your seat and will be nervous between rounds.

You can same the with Floyd and Ortiz, however JMM is Pacman's kryptonite.

For me Pac vs JMM is a better fight because Pac, Marquez, and Mayweather are all incredible boxers who do incredible things, but Ortiz is wide open , not that good (IMHO)and still very inexperienced. I was actually one of those who liked the PBF vs Marquez matchup. The only thing that bothered me was the size difference but even then if PBF would've made the catchweight I wouldn't have minded that much.

I don't know how anyone cannot see that Pac vs JMM is not the better fight.
If Ortiz wins 4 out of the eight rounds that will be considered an upset. Who really expects Ortiz to beat Mayweather? No one!!!

However, a few people are contemplating that JMM might finally be able to get a decision against Pac.

Well see. The fact that Pacquiao and Marquez have had 2 compitive bouts already plays in to Pacquiao's hand. However Mayweather has been the bigger seller in Pay Per Views. I think Marquez would sell more PPV buys than Ortiz. I don't know who that gives a negeotioning advantage to. I would think that Pacquiao vs. Marquez would be expected to do better than Mayweather vs. Ortiz. Which is why I say Pacquiao needs to out sell Mayweather by a lot not just a good amount let alone barely to up his poistion.

Good point, because Mayweather will say he did his numbers without a dance partner unlike JMM who has been in multiples ppv's and is more well known.

btw, I strongly feel that the PBF-Pac fight will never happen.:-(

JMM is my favourite fighter but this is nonsense.

His age and the weight make Floyd/Ortiz the better fight.

Pac wont get credit if he defeats JMM this time (for the first legitimate time)

JMM/Manny III would be better if it was at 135-140. But guess what team manny/bob arum don't feel like risking losing there cash cow so they fight at 144. Ortiz is a young bull who is ranked 2nd in his Div only to manny, and his fighting Floyd the most talented boxer out there today.

All tho JMM/MANNY will be more exciting it will not out sell Floyd Mayweather.

Dont really like jmm vs pac. Jmm is old news id rather see bradley even though i think thats an easier fight. Ortiz is not a bad fight considering pac wipe the division and floyd dont want the pac fight right now. To me ortiz is a better fight only because u never with floyd when he will retire or go in vacation. His fights r more like exhibtion matches since he a year and a half boxer

OK cool. Let's say 8 week avatar bet that PBF vs Ortiz outsells Pac/JMM on the American PPV. I'll PM you to confirm.

I mean, I don't hate the Pac/JMM fight. it just doesn't particularly interest me. Floyd should dominate Ortiz but it still feels like a fresh, relevant bout. I think Mayweather will comfortably outsell Pac JMM III.

To whoever mentioned Mexican Independence Day - I didn't know about this, but that pretty much seals it. Thanks for the tip.

Let me add a number 6 to my previous list:

    6. Prospect of Floyd losing to a young & hungry big punching opponent.

I think Pac-JMM is a good fight. Fairly equal to Mayweather-Ortiz but slightly late and with Mayweather beating JMM it makes their fight even less ideal with JMM looking terrible at that weight.

I doubt it sells more than May-Ortiz.
