yes, it means you have no muscle so despite being at a low weight you just look awfully out of shape instead of lean.

WTF is Cotto doing in your avatar???

I'm also borderline skinny fat. If I didn't go to the gym I'd look terrible.

It's when you are a man and look pregnant. Skinny fat is fat to the gut and lean elsewhere. Maybe some lil man boobies

No. It basically means you have very low muscle mass but have an average looking body size due to bodyfat.

Yep, like many teens and 20 somethings of this day and age. They do nothing but sit on their asses and pound a keyboard for hours on end playing video games and would die if they tried to do 5 pushups.

I've got a step-son just like this and it kills me to see what kind of shape he's in. At age 26, he can't do 10 pushups, bike 5 miles at a very leisurely pace, nothing. I don't understand today's young folks with their lack of interest in many thing physical. Not all mind you, but more than not.

You know, a lot of boxers are skinny fat...

Its a term from bodybuilding, but it applies to anyone...ODLH...best shape of his life, still looks thin and pudgy. Lots of Latin fighters are built that way. Only way to overcome it is 'supplementation'
