To suggest a prime calz would destroy froch is very brave indeed. JC was very talented but to be fair he looked great against mostly opposition that was not so challenging. so much so I think Froch would have represented his toughest challenge. Froch is a bit of a beast in the ring and JC could be hurt and would deffo be up for the war with Froch. It would deffo be a war at times and a fight like this is never easy to predict.
If you don't like Carl Froch you're an absolute moron, know nothing about what makes boxing good and should probably just kill yourself. hope this helps.
Froch has absolutely converted me. I've been watching him since the early days and, although I always enjoyed his fights, I never thought he'd be able to succeed at the highest level. He's proven me wrong and I'm past doubting him. I had him in my P4P top 10 before the Johnson fight, which is well deserved due to his recent level of competition.
I dopn't understand what the big deal is with Froch.Johnson was 42 years old and has lost 15 times.Froch struggled mightily with dirrell(and arguably lost) and he lost to Kessler. The only dude he beat solidly was Abraham(a short middleweight). Calslappy would slap him silly.
Massive fan of Froch must be one of the top five fighters in the world right now. Calzghe dodged him so think that answers the question about who would have won...
tons of ppl nuttin' on Ward on ESB... Froch takes this guy to school or if he KTFO Ward... he'll have to get respect from the haters or they'll just change their handles and start over... :hi: < shake the magic Waldo hand Haters
I thought Dirrell beat him but, IMO, the Kessler fight could have gone his way. I enjoy watching the guy fight. He is way more skilled than I initially thought (though fast hands guys like Dirrell and Taylor will continue to bother him) and dude will dig down when he needs it. And I find his confidence in himself somewhat refreshing. Can't hate on the Cobra, man.
It's strange how people think that JC would blast Froch away, i mean, no one blasts the Cobra. This would have been a classic and close fight in my opinion. Although JC was a skilled boxer, he was also quite macho in the ring and would not have backed down in a slugfest, which Froch would inevitably drag him into. Funny though, it would have been that 1 signiture fight that would have people talking about JC. Froch has already been involved in 3 classic fights whereas its hard to remember 1 from JC. Saying that JC would probably have beaten Froch by a close UD.....
I am a HUUUUUUGE Froch fan in fact I was one of the very small number here who said Froch would beat Abraham - in fact I said he'd school him - but Calzaghe would decimate Froch it would be embrassing for Carl. Watch the Kessler fight again very closely. Around rounds 9/10 both men are exhausted...by round 12 they can barely lift their arms. By round 12 Calzaghe's normally just warming up in comparison so think about it...workrate & stamina...
I can say I'm a Froch fan now. Never gave him much credit. First time I saw him was the Taylor fight. U really can't ignore his accomplishments and fighting spirit. I used to not like his personality but that has grown on me as well. A bit cocky and arrogant, but mostly he's just telling the truth and isn't as arrogant as he first seems.
