I just noticed this fight the other day, I haven't seen anything of Matthysse other than the Judah fight. Alexander has looked poor in his last two fights.

Can anyone find odds on this fight? I'd be tempted to put some money on Matthysse if you lot think he has a chance. I'm assuming he's the underdog?

I think he has an excellent chance. In fact I see this fight as almost even money myself. At the very least I think Mathysse scores a knockdown in this fight.

Matthysse has more than a chance. I think he wins-BY STOPPAGE! He messed up with Judah and didn't pressure him in the first half like he could have. I don't think he'll make the same mistake this time. :deal He's coming to BANG, BABY! :bbb:bbb:bbb

If I was a betting man (and had money) I would probably put some down on Matthysse by stoppage, bet you could get some great odds.

I honestly dont know. Probably going with Alexander... but 50/50 is just about right.

Matthysse looked better in his last fight with Judah than Alexander did against Bradley and Kotelnik (Who he both lost to)

Nah, Matthysse wiped the floor with Corley in his last bout.

I like Devon, he's one of my favorites, but I have a feeling he's going to get kayoed in this one.

Thanks guys this was my thinking too but as I say I haven't seen Matthysse much. Now to find a bookies that is taking bets on the fight!

I hope he is the underdog, could be some nice money to be made!

matthysse hits hard which will certainly test alexander's heart, but i can't see him quitting because of a cut at home. only chance matthysse has is by KO. alexander will box knowing if he makes the final bell that he's got a home town decision, alexander just has to keep his punch output high to win the rounds, exactly like the kotelnik fight.

Damn i didnt know it was in Alexanders hometown.

Matthyse will have to go all out. I dont think Matthyse would stop Alexander anyways though. Alexander does have a good chin and barring any cuts i dont see a stoppage.

Anyone else think this will be a stinker now knowing Alexander is fighting at home?? I was really looking forward to this one but now i think Alexander fights a boring fight for a crappy win.

This fight will be a double standard...
Alexander MUST look spectacular in this fight in order to come out unscathed.
    (Reputation/boxing wise)

Matthysee has no pressure & the power to upset a vulnerable Alexander.
    (Who might be questioning himself?)

Alexander too much in love with his power and easily lured into brawls. He does have good power, but gets sloppy and loses focus. Close fight, but eventually Mathtesse might get to him late. Early exchanges Id favor Devon. He does have the speed advantage.

the heartless african american slick cry baby will win this.

mathysse and maidana are similar, those guys can't handle movement and the african american slick black cry baby will move all night long.
