Over at the scene. September 24th no doubt he will pick Manfredo. Hope Barker gets the shot he would outbox Chavez fairly easily.

Manfredo and Barker are absolutely horrible defences.

Good fight for Barker if he gets it but doubt it will happen.

Come on now, exaggerating much? Both are top 20 boxers, they wouldn't be bad for a first defence.

I wonder how this will work with Froch-Ward probably october/november time, what with Hearn saying a while back that he had a big PPV planned for later in the year based around the super six final.

Barker to get robbed. Wins fight by 3-4 rounds yet scorecards read 116-112 to Chavez...

It think that's why they are now ducking Rubio. He could actually knock him out, unlike Manfredo and Barker. And Chavez Jr would at the very least be competitive with Barker so it would be easy for the judges to rob him.

Chavez JR seems like a nice lad and all and I shouldn't hold against him but I can't help resenting the guy because of the way he gets a complete free ride whilst good honest pros get screwed over because of him.

Chavez jr knocks Barker out if it happens. Barker has a great chance of getting this fight.

Barker would outpoint Chavez relatively comfortably in my opinion.

He'd be the best puncher Chavez has faced by some distance, and would be durable enough to take the punches coming back.

I think his movement would cause lots of problems throughout. Chavez is a bit like Tony Jeffries in that he's most comfortable when his opponent is nailed to the floor and asking to be hit, but struggles like hell when he can't plant his feet and let fly.
