I was hoping that loss would humble him, I guess not.

"I was the champion, I was pushing the fight". You're not doing yourself any favours James, Groves was also a champion. There were two belts on the line. I had it 115-114 DeGale but he is like a spoilt child. :rasta

I had Chunky winning by 2 rounds, but I'm not going to argue with anyone who had it for Groves. He gave the fight away as oppose to having it convincingly taken away from him, and he only has has himself to blame for that. I can see him having a lot of problems on the world stage if he continues as he is. Sometimes you need that killer instinct, and I'm worried he'll never have it. Hope he proves me wrong, though.

But massive props to Groves. He's a really nice lad and the win couldn't have happened for a better person.

I had it a draw when I watched it live, second time I had it 115-114 degale, but who cares though, its good that he lost. he should honour his bet with groves by the way, you never back out of a bet, if he had won a sd he would definitely be talking **** about groves if he didnt pay him.

I thought the promoters/managers of both sides cancelled they bet right after they made it?

DeGale is a fool. There have been loads of British fighters in the past that played the role of villain, but at least they had some charisma in the way they did it - Eubank, Naz etc etc. But DeGale just sounds like a spoilt little brat, his insults are childish and not even funny!

yeah I guess groves team didnt want it, but if he is a man he pays him, he was obviously trying to screw groves over twice and it backfired.
It doesnt matter though I guess the W was all groves really needed, imagine being him and defeating a rival who is like that.

Groves is nothing extra special and he has now beaten Degale twice. Degale is very talented but is clearly such a complete knob that I suspect that unless he grows up and stops acting like a child in a man's body, he will never reaches the heights his talent warrants

Degale is talented but has too many yes men behind him

he needs to leave that fitness trainer mcdonell fly over to america and train with Ronnie Shields, Manny Steward or Tommy Brooks, coaches who wont pat his back every time he hits the bag.

or he can ask for the help of the dark lord adam booth :deal

What a tool! That's a worrying sign for DeGale, it seems he has learned nothing from the fight. Sticking with the same atttitude, same trainer etc. I'm sure fish eyes said after the fight that they would be looking at his staff and getting rid of some of the yes men. It appears not. He has got some skills, and could go further than Groves still, who I think is limited but stuck to an excellent plan to nick the fight. However, he needs to get himself stateside with a proper trainer and do some hard yards, and learn some humility!

"I will still be a world champion by the end of next year. And you know what? If I am and Georgie Groves comes knocking on my door? Sorry... you've had your chance. That door ain't opening."

    - Is he for real??

He embarrasses himself everytime he opens his mouth. He does have skills but his personality will prevent from ever making the most of it. I expect him to have a mediocre European level career and finish up with 5 or 6 losses.
