    Martinez-Barker a go for October 1st

    Breaking news as middleweight champion and pound-for-pound entrant Sergio Martinez [47-2-2, 26 KOs] is likely to see in-ring action again on October 1st against undefeated contender Darren Barker [23-0, 14 KOs] of London.

    According to the official Twitter of Barker promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport, all terms have been agreed upon and the fight is now being put in front of HBO executives to see if they will accept it.

    Martinez will destroy him

    And this fight definitely wont help Martinez in becoming best P4P fighter. Disappointing fight if this is true

    hmm hbo will need a good undercard for this fight, why not gaele vs pirog as a double header then the winners face off, they need to do something like that with the 160 division, I have the feeling this division has great potential but nobody is fighting each other.

    Agreed. Maybe he should move down to 154 and try to fight some guys there, but no one seems to want any part of him.
