Jones could have fought at MW as long as he chose to. Hopkins started at 175....What indication do you have that Jones couldn't have fought at 160 for long? Remember at the time, the really great fighters were at 168....that's the only reason Jones moved up. Toney, McClellan, Benn, Eubank....they were all at 168.

Joe hurt Kessler, which is easily forgotten. He is a young man in his prime. It could be volume of punches rather than power that hurts him in the end

Him not fighting at MW since 1993 has nothing to do with the question you previously asked. You asked if Jones could have STAYED at MW. When he last fought there is little indication. At best, Jones is a natural SMW....

 

I wouldnt describe G Johhnson as a major puncher at 75 either and he had rjj out cold! JC would stop Roy.

 

Tarver was known as a very hard LHW puncher, especially with his left hook.
