:-( How many clean punches are needed to finish the job mate?Taylor had more than enough...and all it did was wake up a monster..It's also funny how we tend to take credit away from Pavlik for the domination afterwards..People love to say "Jermain tired himself out throwing all those punches which is why he never recovered"..This is simply not realistic..While Jermain was winded he had the rest of that round to recover..Need we forget Pavlik was knocked down and he didnt seem to have a problem recovering. The fact that Taylor did in my opinion win the 5th rd is another indication that he recovered from throwing those punches in the 2ND i repeat 2ND round..Ultimatly fatigue didnt get to Taylor..Pavlik got to Taylor and if you cant understand this you will on Feb 16th:good

He even said it himself, he stuck his chin out there to prove a point and got lambasted in the process.

Jermain could of finished the fight and won. Yes.

But if Pavlik didn't stick his chin out there to prove a point, it probably would of never happened.

Yeah, that's "I tired myself out" is a lame excuse. If you can't get it done, that's on you. You tried to get the guy out but couldn't. That's on you and a credit to the other guy for hanging in there.

In the very next round, Pavlik had his legs back. He was ok. He was knocked down but he wasn't really hurt in that it didn't have any lingering effects. He just got caught with some good shots.

And when Pavlik hit Taylor, he was hurt. He couldn't recover. That is the difference.

    Show-off

I rewatched the fight just now and Pavlik was hurt badly and he wasn't showing off, Taylor caught him fair and square.

Pavlik chin is useless (see Zuniga, McKart, Berbeck and taylor for details) and will betray him the minute he fights elite fighters.

    Abraham
    Dawson
    BHop
    Kessler
    Lee (prospect with power)

Just to name a few especially Dawson and Lee...I have Taylor in the rematch, he just physically more gifted but Taylor need to learn how to KEEP HIS DAMN HANDS UP and LEARN HOW TO FINISH THE SHOW.

In my eyes (just my opinion) Pavlik won the 3rd and 6th round clearlyly, everything else I gave to Taylor. Pavlik doesn't move his damn head either and Taylor (until he gassed) was throwing overhand rights over Pavlik jabs and was moving his head when Pavlik jabed for the most part.

Lol - I never doubt Pavlik was hurt. Pavlik got himself hurt not Jermain doing something right. Pavlik droped his hands to prove a point and got rocked in the process.

Taylor gassed? Oh please! Like hes never thrown a lot of punches in one round before? What a lame excuse.

Not trouble recovering...please, hell we can see him stubbling and munbling for at least 1 minute after the KD, his oegs were gone....I give him credit for survig the round and pulling himself together...but please...and yes JT's missed many haymaker shots, he got over anxious and it cost him...once the round was over...I knew that Pavlik would come thru

Yes JT was gassed at the end of the round and yes Pavlik was in trouble, sure his footwork betrayed him and got caught, credit for JT to be able to take advanatege of the mistake...

It wasn't the footwork. Pavlik tried to prove a point and take Jermains shots with his hands down. He purposely let himself get hit and got lambasted.

Im sorry but Jermain gassed him isn't a good excuse to me.

Dude look at the fight with your eyes open, look at this footwork just before the punch, his from foot was caught on the outside of JT, causing JT to have full leverage on his punch and no chance for Pavlik to maneuver....:patsch Jesus EZE..you only watch the head and the hands on a match....:patsch ..it is not a n excuse that JT was gassed ...it is a fact

You still havent disputed the points I've made. Are you ignoring them to better suit your dilluted view? He was sluggish after being knocked down..but who isnt? His head was all there, hands were up and by the end of the round Taylor was just as winded..So stop trying to half argue half agree already:lol: Why not talk about how Taylor was outboxed after he was knocked down...It was apparent that even Pavliks jab was taking a toll on Jermain

Dude we're all right and you are wrong..anyone with at least 1 good eye saw Pavlik sticking his tounge out and mocking Jermains strength before the knockdown..get ****ing glasses already..He did the same thing after being caught a few times in the 2nd which lead to his knockdown..It's quite laughable that your focus is an irrelevant 30 second piece of the fight...YOU..ARE..PATHETIC:hi:

The thing that impressed me about Pavlik was that he knew his clowning caused the knockdown, and he smiled and laughingly, but confidentally, told his corner:"I'm good". He had his wits about him, even after taking those 5 or 6 shots from Jermain.
His recovery time was impressive. Either that, or, like you stated, he wasn't really hurt that badly.
Man, did he take over after that knockdown.

I have the fight on tivo, and you can't even see their feet when the punch Taylor throws puts Pavlik down, but you can see Pavlik stick his chin out there.

And I see Taylor winging hooks and Kelly blocking some, and he gets his feet under him and then it cuts to a shot of them upclose, then Pavlik sticks his chin out and drops his hands.

How can you see the footwork he had if HBO doesn't show their feet way before the punch that put him down was thrown.

How the *uck do you know?

Dude, I watching right now as I'm typing this......Taylor caught this man fair and square. Pavlik hand were down but not on purpose because when Taylor jab him, Pavlik attempted to BLOCK Taylor right hand but it still connected.

Pavlik tried to BLOCK, that doesn't strike me as trying to let someone hit you on purpose. Pavlik in all the interview since then has never said he dropped his hands on purpose so neither should you.

Taylor dropped his weak chinned ass with a punch he show coming. Remeber I'm watching the fight right now.
