The aftermath if Haye loses to Wlad

Looks like Vitali is confident Wlad will beat Haye on July 2'nd. Vitali will defiantly retire after Adamek I expect. Haye beating Wlad would be a nightmare to be honest for the sport of boxing and K2.

 

Its easy to say you are retiring, easy until someone shows you a cheque with £5,000,000.00 on it.

 

He won't fight after his next birthday. I can guarantee it. Who fancies a lifetime ban bet on it?

 

I think its great news that Haye is going to be gone, we need less fighters like him in this sport. Lying openly to his supporters.

i know this sport is part business, but whats happened to fighters who believe they are the best. Its like everyone tries to take the easiest path possible for maximum pay. Legacy means nothing to some of these guys.

Good riddance, i for one will not miss him or buy into any of his merchandise.

From his pov, he's got however many million in the bank, he's had a successful career at cruiserweight, came up to heavy for a couple of very specific reasons - to win a belt which he's done, and fight one of the Klitschkos which he's about to do. There's no point a cruiserweight like him hanging around in the heavyweight division. Even if he wins more than he loses he'll get worn down.

If he loses he'll retire.
If he wins but Vitali loses he'll retire.
If he wins and so does Vitali then maybe he has a fight with Vitali in January or whenever, then he retires.

 

Haye is already saying he will fight Vitali QUICKLY or retire if he beats Wladimir. He knows Vitali already is fighting Adamek in September so that WOULD be his excuse in his little dreamworld of actually beating Wladimir. Which won't happen because Haye's getting flat lined on the 2nd.

Wlad's been a HW all his career and has never stopped fighting bums.

Kinda different to Haye altogether, and kinda obvious to figure out :nut

 

i hope he fights both the brothers but not getting my hopes up, i would be suprised if he retires on a loss
i would also like to see him fight adamek

Remember this is total speculation, but let us say theoretically Haye beats Wladimir. I believe he will be in a strong position if it comes to potentially negotiating a fight with Vitali. Lets look at the factors:

1. Vitali will want revenge, thus money will not be as major an issue for him.
2. Haye has been talking about this imposed retirement date for years, so will command more to fight past it.
3. Haye will hold the bulk of the Heavyweight titles, and most likely be above Vitali in the rankings.
4. Haye will have more more appeal to the larger audience than Vitali.

I believe all these factors and more would give Haye an advantage at the negotiation table. Haye and 'The Dark Lord' have already proven themselves to be quite astute with the business side of boxing. This being the case, with a Haye vs Vitali fight, which marketed correctly will be much bigger than Haye vs Wladimir; I could see Haye manoeurvring himself into a position where he takes at least a 60 - 40 split of what would be a massive purse.

 

He will lose and he will announce his retirement.

Of course, he might come back in a year or two, but that will probably be like Naseem Hamed fighting Manuel Calvo, and another retirement will follow.
