Imagine Viali keeping his belt for six more years. Now that would be something. He quit...**** happens. Took a royal beating from Lewis and had a perfect excuse to stop but he didn't.
**** off if haye had quit v valuev when he broke His right hand the abuse he would have got would have been Huge double standards anytime a post is made about the klitsckos That's negative
Vitali coming back after that loss vs. Lewis and becoming the man at HW is testimony to Lewis' greatness IMO. Lewis beat a prime legitimate future champ in Vitali -- not a past-prime over-the-hill champ.
I see...so it was a slip. It was long ago, all I can remember is that, Sanders had some moments at the beginning, but Vitali adjusted and beat Sanders pretty bad at the end. I really can not call this adversity. It was such a clear victory for Vitali.
not quite, he never faced byrd who was the clear number 2 whilst vitali was clear number 1. that's the criteria required.
Neither Klitschko has EVER become a legitimate or linear champ. A new lineage happens when the #1 fighter takes on the #2. Since Lennox retired, that has NOT happened.
Yes, technically it was a win, but that win against Vitali made LL retire at the age of 37. Vitali was so tough... And I beleive LL is the best HW ever, much bigger and stronger than Ali.
So you're not giving Lewis any credit for beating Vitali? You're giving Lewis more credit for beating e.g. a past-prime Tyson who posed very little opposition rather than Lewis beating a prime Vitali who offered very stiff resistance and opposition -- and who went on to become the division's #1 fighter after losing to Lewis? :think
I don't like the Klits at all. However, when you point out that he willingly fought through a horrific gash against Lewis, you undermine your own assertion that he folds. A basic class or two on logic and reasoning or simple communication skills might go a long way for you.
