Outside of Klitsckos. Are there any Eastern European fighters worthy of P4P status?

Povetkin and Chagaev are clearly world class, but neither one close to ATG ststus nor even serious p4p consideration.

 

You mention Adamek and he is up there right now. His HW run has me high on him as a P4P. But I agree, Vitali should hammer him out of the conversation.

I was rooting for and even expecting Yuri Foreman to reach that status with a win over Cotto. But he is done, on a donut or a fix o flat tire now.

Vic Darchinyan would by my nomination.

 

Bute and Adamek should both be top 10 p4p.

Bute a year from now should be in that list, i think mendy is a good fight, sold title holder, i would love for him to set up a fight with hopkins after this one, maybe have it in vegas later this year.

Depends what Darchinyan can do. Adamek isn't going to beat Vitali unfortunately.

It depends on whether you consider him Eastern European on the basis that hes from Russia, although hes from the Urals but Rakhim Chakhkiyev looks like a future one for the P4P lists.

There's a number of world class guys that have been mentioned. Golovkin's got P4P stuff in my opinion, but he needs the opportunities to earn the ranking.

Adamek has a great case for a lower top 10 rating, but I don't foresee good things for him against Vitali. Although he's got a better chance of doing well against the older Klitschko than Wlad. Vitali has been slowing down, so it could well be closer than I think it will be.

 

To answer your question, Bute might be on the list as early as next year.

Within three years you might see both Silakh and Darchinyan on the list. Silakh definitely has "future P4P star" written all over him.

I don't think Adamek's standing should suffer for losing to Vitali if Vitali is ranked higher on the P4P list already. Nobody should lose their P4P standing for losing to someone higher ranked on the list. After all, isn't that what's supposed to happen when you fight someone higher up on the P4P ranking? So if you have Vitali at #10 and Adamek at #12, Adamek should still be at #12 after getting his ass kicked by Vitali.

 

Even if adamek loses to vitali he should still make a big name for himself if he brings a good fight to the table. Good things can come for him in the future if the klits retire but then again, adamek is getting old as well..
