Did anyone else see what Haye sees in that face-off?

I am not sure why he pulled out of their fight, but I do think I heard him say he was injured, However your right, Haye knows exactly what games he is playing here and he does have the mental edge, However it just takes one mistake to give up that edge, Wlads a big man he can bang no secret, To me it looks like Haye has WLads nerves at their peak, almost as if Wlad has no control over his emotions, Okay let me re state that so it doesnt get twisted into something that it's not, Wlad has to work really really hard to control his emotions.... thats a good sign for Haye

But, but, but....all this stuff was in the face off. In the press conferences held LATER it was Wlad who was calm and relaxed and it was Haye who said, several times, that he had to restrain himself from attacking Wlad there and then.

That's funny. a sky sports reporter said Wladimir was looking as sharp as he's ever seen him. Lol! I'm expecting him to come in as sharp as a knife for this fight. Wlad will win this one inside of 5

I thought the whole thing was ****in' gay.

'I could feel it, he wanted to hit me!' :patsch

Embarrassing playground bitching. And Max Kellerman smirking and giggling away made it even worse. There's no grudge between these two gigantic ***gots. Larry Holmes jumping off a car to dropkick Trevor Berbick is a grudge. :hey

No freaking kidding. Dumbass Kellerman seemed clueless at times and didn't know what questions to ask. Kellerman trying to sell this rehearsed and scripted charade between Wlad and Haye as "unique animosity" makes him sound like a snake oil merchant.

What a pile of **** you're talking there. Haye got the same deal that was on the table when he refused and chose to fight Audley Harrison, so get the **** out of here with comments like that. It was a case of Haye suddenly wanting the fight, not the other way around.

As for the rest of your post, I don't look into any of that pre fight stuff. I think the effect of that stuff is way overemphasised.

The only nervous energy I picked up in that was coming from David Haye.

Basically haye wouldn't have gotten paid for the fight so You cant really blame the guy I wouldn't put my life on the line for potentially no money.

Haye is immature and quite child like actually especially with the gang **** comment amongst others wlad carrys himself far better cant deny the man is a gentleman with class.

Fair point, we know Haye has a suspect chin, but so does Wladimir. I also think you'll find, with the greatest respect, that fighters and sparring partners that have been in with both say Haye hits harder- one source that springs immediately to mind is Tony Thompson who said that Haye is not simply pound for pound a bigger puncher, but a bigger puncher full stop.

Wladimir is an accurate puncher but also with the greatest respect he has been hitting walking space hoppers who are stationary targets. I'm not saying Haye is a Pernell Whitaker, but he will make it far harder for Wlad to land punches than a Chambers or Peter.

If they do go to war, Haye has the mobility and speed to get inside, and then the power to seriously hurt Wladimir.

Also I wasn't commenting on Freddie's prediction for the fight, simply his assessment of Wladimir as a man and fighter. And there are conflicting reports because a boxing magazine (I think either Boxing Monthly or Boxing News, can't remember!) quoted Freddie as having Haye to win it, although on Youtube he does favour Wlad.

As for the training camp, a Jeff Powell article stated that Wlad was looking sloppy in sparring, his jab was weak, doing a lot of leaning and he was pushed down by a sparring partner. Not a lot to go on, but interesting nonetheless.

What amazes me is the fact that Haye has been an undisputed CW champion, he is now a bona fide WBA HW champion, yet people are still doubting his credentials to even bother Wlad. This guy is a completely different animal to an Eddie Chambers or Samuel Peter and should be taken seriously. Whatever people think of Haye as a human being there can be no doubt that if there is a fighter that is "all wrong" for Wlad, it is him.

Well Thompson also could have been hyping Haye up a little because he was his sparring partner at the time he said that I believe. Freddie Roach said Wladimir Klitschko (and he's done pad work with Wladimir) hit the hardest out of all the heavyweights he's worked with. Not to mention Manny Steward said the same thing. "Wladimir is the best puncher out of all of them I've had." From those two trainers that's saying A LOT. You can just see the way Wlad moves 230 pound men when he hits them that he hits harder than Haye IMO.

Haye is a good fighter there is no denying that. But he's not as good as he's making himself out to be so his arrogance isn't warranted by any means. And as far as him being more elusive than Wladimir's previous opponents, he gets the nod over a few but not all. Byrd was waaay harder to hit flush than Haye is and we all know how those fights went. Ibragimov after a couple of fights with Jeff Mayweather wasn't easy to clip at all. And Wladimir had no trouble tagging him. But credit to Sultan for having a very solid chin. That's another thing ...most of Wladimir's opponents were very durable guys with good chins that had previously never been dropped or stopped. Chagaev, Ibragimov, Chambers, Brewster, Thompson, all VERY tough guys. Haye doesn't have that rep and in my opinion we will see why in 2 weeks.

And as far as Wadimir looking "sloppy" in sparring ...when was that said? During his first week of sparing? I'm sure he's a lot sharper by now and other sources have said he's been very sharp.

Where the heck has CHEF been on here?! He needs to give us some updates! Lol

i remeber this crap tony thompson said the tihing when sparring with haye.yea like hes going to say anything different haye does not hit harder than wladimir..as u said other ppl have pointed it out only in the other direction.hel its plain as day to any1.anyway only haters are not giving haye no chance same with wlad haters giving him no chance its just something you have to deal with..its a 70/30 fight for wlad but haye ofcourse does have a chance hes a live wire..samuel peter for the 2nd fight just went into survival mode after round 2 for some reason and chambers cudnt do wat he wanted to do i wudnt call them punching bags but ur talking as if wlad has never faced speed before.im sorry to tell u and many more will he has faced it and dealt with it many times..and by the way haye wasnt undisputed cw champ he only unified it then ****ed off without defending them against dangerous opp...

I don't ever recall Thomspon saying that. Can you provide a link? Thanks.

Here's the quotes off Thompson from the Haye sparring:

Where did he say Haye was a bigger puncher than Wlad? :think

Inconveniently for me the Thompson quote isn't from an online source! It is from a boxing magazine, once again most probably either Boxing News or Boxing Monthly.

There is a huge spread on the Haye/Klitschko fight and it's a quote from there.

The atmosphere is going to be incredible. Haye will be buzzing big style during his ringwalk.
