They had no idea what they were doing mate. They were all over the shop in that corner. When you got an inexperienced chap like that you got to make a decision yourself as a corner when you're seeing whats taking place.

It was hardly a competitive match, might as well support the promoter to keep feeding us these bollocks fights

Quite a sad state of affairs that that was for the prestigious British Middleweight title.

Which is what they did and pulled him out. I don't think it was that bad personally. It was only really the last 2 rounds where Blackwell was getting completely dominated then they stopped it.

He didn't really need to go out for that round and if they were just going off their instincts which they should have been considering their fighter, he wouldn't have had to suffer that round. They knew they should have stopped it beforehand.

I'm usually for that type of discussion, but not in this case. They didn't have Matthew Saad Muhammad sat there with inhumane powers of recovery and resolve. A novice kid with no hope.

Choi looked good, started to pull away after the first few rounds and threw bombs all night, got a knockdown in the 7th or 8th I think

Blackwell has got a very bright future, obviously this came way too soon for him Murray was far too seasoned and strong, and his corner were awful. The biggest difference was how relaxed they were, Murray was calm and relaxed Blackwell was wasting far too much nervous energy. If he can learn to fight relaxed he could be a very good prospect

If Blackwell can stop winging in arm punches, yeah. And stop fighting off adrenaline, there was a lot of panic and excitement all at once in his work. Just chill the **** out a bit and work on punch technique a little.

It really pisses me off when British Champions fight bums rather than defending their title.
